Bee Happy Pocket Card for RRR Things with Wings Challenge

RRRChallengeBadge

Hey, Ribbon Lovers!  It’s time for another fabby challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon BLOG.  This time around, our theme is Things with Wings.  Oh, the possibilities!  I  created this Bee happy pocket card using the fabulous “It’s the Bees Knees” Creativity Kit from Polly’s Paper Studio.

Bee Happy Card for RRR Things with Wings Challenge Kathy by Design 01I got a little inky making this card. I started with a 5″ x 6.5″ white card base that I stamped with a script background and then heat embossed.  Next, I ran the base through a honeycomb embossing folder.  I sponged on warm honey tones of Distress Ink: Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Tea Dye and Spiced Marmalade.  Then the entire surface was sponged lightly with Tea Dye DI and spritzed and flicked with water to create a gorgeous background layer.

The pocket on the right contains a vintage button card and a bookmark that is topped with two pretty charms, burlap string and more houndstooth ribbon.

Now it’s your turn!  Create your own “things with wings” project and link it up over on the RRR BLOG.  I’ll be popping by to pay you a visit, and you know I can’t wait to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Yes, I would say you got a LITTLE inkie!! If do it in a different order what do you get? I like your bee’s knees. It’s so cheerful. But a typical Kathy. Way over the top. Nobody can compete with you. You are just the best.

This one is amongst my favourites. Love Bees for one thing but the insert tags and wee button card is great. The colours you chose are just perfect. Really a wonderful piece of art Kathy, thanks for sharing this one. Truly lovely.
