I’ll Have a Blue Blue Christmas Card for Winter Holiday Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! It’s time for a brand new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. This will be our only challenge for the month of December and I hope you will join in the fun. The theme is Winter Holiday. With that in mind and with my beautiful Winter Blues Ribbon Club assortment in hand, I spent a delightful hour creating this Blue Blue Christmas card with Kaisercraft’s Frosted collection.
I just love using vintage photos on my cards. This happy lassie brings back great memories of zipping down our hill on our Flexible Flyer sled. Did anyone else have one of these growing up? Wow, that was fun!
All these dreamy blues make me super happy. I created a belly band and borders with Off White Shimmer Satin Ribbon and Capri Blue Crosshatch Satin Ribbon. This added a lovely touch of sparkle and shine to the composition of the card. I used some icy branches I found in my stash to frame the corner of the card.
And speaking of sparkle of shine…how about this bow cluster? Blue Topaz Taffeta Ribbon sits on top of a glittery silver snowflake and is topped with a rhinestone adorned posy. If you haven’t tried the taffeta ribbons in the shop yet, I highly recommend them. They tie the most beautiful bows!
Warm Up Winter Blues…
To warm up the Winter Blues, I created a fun pocket on the inside of my Blue Blue Christmas card. I tucked in a mini candy cane and a pouch of Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. YUM!
Be sure to stop by the RRR BLOG where you’ll find lots of Winter Holiday inspiration from the rest of the team. You’ll also find instructions for linking up your Winter Holiday creation with ribbon or trim. I hope you’ll join the party!
Now I’m gonna go find some hot chocolate!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Kathy, love that blue. an while at Walmart today I say your snow flakes in blue ornaments , so I had to have some, believe it or not they; can be used on our cards,(flate, have them in blue, silver, and gold. See your creations inspire in so many ways.Love this card. , an remember the slide. thanks heaps.
Another pretty confection Kathy. I saw some of these papers at my local scrapbooking store and my eye was drawn to them. We used to sled at our local golf course and I still have my old sled which my sister decorated for me with lights and garland. She’s gone now but I have a lot of happy memories when I see that sled. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful card. The memories of sledding on the hill in Graniteville are definitely fond ones.
