Blue Bunnies Vintage Style Easter Card with Pockets and Treats
Hello, Friends! I can’t believe we are already counting down the days ’til Easter! I’m sort of glad, though, as that means I get to break out all my Easter paper pretties and ribbons! Today I have a super sweet Blue Bunnies Vintage Style Easter Card to share with you. Its made with Authentique Paper’s Springtime Collection (an oldie, but a goodie!) and gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon!
I love these sweet bunnies so much! This is a 5″ x 7″ top fold card with a 1/2″ spine. I’ve enhanced the paper layers with a bodacious bow cluster tied with RRR’s Turquoise Shimmer Satin Ribbon and topped with a Petaloo teal anemone. The Ivory Burlap String adds just the right amount of texture to this vintage style card.
To lighten up the layers and add some extra dimension, I die cut Spellbinder’s Labels 47 Decorative Elements from white cardstock. I decided I wanted just the lattice portion of the die cut, and not the scrolly bits at the top, so I trimmed those off with my guillotine trimmer. Green stick pins and a little resin bunny complete the cover design.
TIP: To add a little extra swagger to the paper layers, crop your corners with a corner punch.
Blue Bunnies Vintage Style Easter Card: A Peek Inside
Of course, I had to finish the inside of the card!
The shallow pocket at the top of the card holds this darling mini envelope and tag. There’s a miniature Ghiradelli chocolate tucked into the envelope. Making these bitty envelopes is such a great way to use up scraps.
The large pocket on the bottom holds a little tea bag wallet and honey stick.
The Green Flash Diamond Satin Bow really pops against these aqua papers, doesn’t it?

This card is just delightful, Kathy, and the ribbon colors shout Spring! The other day I picked up an earlier released Authentique Easter paper pack at Tuesday Morning so I’m going to use it for my cards, adapting your wonderful card idea. Perfect timing! As always, thanks for inspiring me.
Oh, I just adore this card with those sweet Easter bunnies on the front! Is that part of the collection, too? I clicked on the paper collection but it’s sold out. (I imagined it would be, since you said oldie, but goodie.) I love how you added the ‘lattice’ to the layers! And of course, I was excited to read 5 x 7 card with 1/2 inch spine, which means there’s going to be more fun on the inside! And you didn’t disappoint! I am amazed at how much you can get done! It looks like my crafty hours are going to be severely limited going forward for a bit into the future. We purchased a house to demo and start over with, and it’s going to be two houses! Yikes! Full steam ahead! Sending hugs!
Kathy, this lovely paper is sold out almost everywhere, but I did find a 6×6 paper pad at http://stampsimply.com .
Luv luv luv your bunny card! It’s so sweet and adorable! Inside is too! Been busy making my easel card! I just luv how it’s turning out! Thanks so much for all your help! Hugs to you

I love this sweet and gorgeous card!
This card is so lovely! And the bunnies are just too cute for words!
Another charmer! Love the cover on this, Cathy…all the layers are beautiful – and that white lattice is the perfect kick of color – well, of no color – or all colors – anyway. It’s lovely! I also like the ribbons from that pack you chose! They all look a tad bright for that paper collection, but you picked out two that really work well.
As always, lovely work – and thanks for sharing!
