Botanical Halloween Card with Reneabouquets and Graphic 45 Time to Flourish
Hello, Friends! I think this botanical Halloween card is simply boo-tiful! How about you? I’ve combined some gorgeous chippies from Reneabouquets with Graphic 45’s October Time to Flourish papers. The end result is a botanical beauty that’s too cute to spook!
I’m not a fan of spooky Halloween. You can keep your skeletons and bats and monsters, thank you very much. But the rich colors of this paper collection when combined with Reneabouquets sweetly costumed girl in the pumpkin patch make me smile.
She’s too cute to scare anyone as she sits in the pumpkin patch with her little kitty cat!
TIP: Surround the pumpkin with small flowers to anchor it into the design. Use flowers that pick up on the colors in the paper design.
TIP: Pull the purples out of the paper collection by accenting with purple flowers and a purple gingham bow.
TIP: Heat emboss the Beautiful Board title with Aged Black Embossing Enamel to create visual drama and a vintage vibe.
The brake or “stopper” on this easel card is actually a pocket! I’ve created height with the chipboard and bow cluster. Back the border strip with foam adhesive to make sure the brake works properly!
A Peek Inside
So what’s in the pocket? Oh, just a few treats for someone sweet!
- Score, fold and add gussets to the October Ledger image. This creates a perfect tuck spot for a delicious tea bag.
- Dress up a honey stick with a little banner flag.
- Then turn the 4×4 image into a mini note card and tuck into the pocket.
This was a fun project that I made for one of my Etsy Shop clients.
You can find a linked supply list below this post.
Thanks for stopping by!

You make the most interesting cards with so many details Kathy. The charms are perfect! The embossing powder on the chipboard sentiment works so well with the layout, connecting the elements.
Beautiful!
I so love the color combinations of fall and Halloween! G45 does a wonderful job of featuring the fun colors in the images of this collection…nice! You’ve done a terrific job on this card, Kathy! Purple was the right color to feature…lovely! I think I would have added a bit of a softer orange ink blending or distressing on the pumpkin on which the little witch sits…personal preference. My Pumpkin Spice tea bags should be arriving today! YES! All thanks to your inspiration, I’m doing more tuck in surprises in my cards…tea, apple cider, coffee, granulated honey, hot cocoa…AMAZON can see me coming!
Love, Love, Love the whole Time to Flourish series! I’m going to have to dig those papers out of my closet of shame (yes, I still call mine that!) and see if I can replicate some of your ideas…now that wedding season is over and I’m going into “semi-retirement”!!???
My kind of Halloween card! For the young ones I try to do a few spooky ones, but for my granddaughter’s October birthday, a different story. The girl on the pumpkin is so charming! Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us!
Kathy, what a perfect Halloween card! I like the sweet whimsical cards as well with maybe just a teeny spookie like the raven. I do love that Graphic 45 collection. Your little witch is adorable, guarding her pumpkin in the pumpkin patch and I love the broom charm! You always have the cutest embellishments. Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
Where do you find all your teas??? Your tea cupboard must be as good as your stash cupboard, lol. Love the card Kathy, halloween is one of my favourite times of year, but oddly I do not have a bunch of halloween papers etc. Have a great Monday.
Oh Kathy …this adorably cute Halloween Easel card is soooo …adorably cute!!! I luv it! I see the broom charm ..just luv how you embellished with those pops of purple flowers, the gorgeous paint on the Happy Halloween and that sweet little girl with her cat …everything is adorable! And the inside is super sweet …in many ways! Thanks for sharing. Big hugs, Suzy Q
