Seashore Banner for RRR Flowers Challenge
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! And happy April Fool’s Day! I have no tricks up my sleeve…just this beautiful Botanical Seashore Banner made for the “Flowers” challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I have a brand new ribbon crush to share with you. This Robin’s Egg Stitched Center Satin is completely scrumptious! It is so soft and shimmery, and the stitched center adds wonderful texture. And, as a bonus, it ties like a dream. (It comes in a rainbow of colors, too!) Pairing it up with Turquoise Chevron Striped Twill and my favorite Natural Mesh Ribbon created a beachy color palette with lots of texture and flair.
This is an older Prima collection (Seashore) and it’s one of my favorites! Each corner of the banner is anchored with a cluster of Petaloo Teal Botanica Blooms and Ivory Mixed Textured Blossoms. I stitched the individual flags onto Ivory burlap and kraft cardstock. Layering up elements from the paper collection with some shells found during my own beachy adventures makes for lots of dimension and interest.
I topped each flag of my Botanical Seashore Banner with a pretty piece of Deborah Natural Crocheted Lace.
I added ribbons, flowers and tags between each pennant. And here you can see just how gorgeous this Robin’s Egg Center Stitched Satin really is!
The center flag of the Botanical Seashore Banner has a copper starfish loaded onto a painted and embossed chip board die cut. I also tucked in some Teal Sugared Berry Clusters.
And every good beach project needs a lighthouse and a seagull!
I love painting my chipboard with Picket Fence Distress Ink, then while the ink is still wet, I add some embossing powder to age it. The finishing touch is a little Vintage Photo or Tea Dye Distress Ink.
This pretty Botanical Seashore Banner has me longing for a walk on the beach…how about you?
Now, it’s YOUR TURN! Create your own project for this Flower Challenge. You’ll find all the details on the RRR BLOG. I can’t wait to see what you make!
Thanks for stopping by!

Absolutely gorgeous!

I can smell the salt air, hear the seagulls calling and the slapping of the waves on the hull of the boat. Ahhhhh! Marvelous! Thanks, Kathy!
