Botanical Tea Pop Up Birthday Card

Botanical Tea Pop Up Birthday Card with Natural Burlap String Bow

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Natural Burlap String is one of my crafting staples!  I love it and use it so much that I purchase it by the spool.  It’s a great way to add texture to a card design.  It looks fabulous when threaded through a button.  Wrap it around a card to create a border.  Tie a little loopy string bow and add it to a bow cluster.  The possibilities are endless!  I used Natural Burlap String to make the fluffy string bow on this Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Pop Up Birthday Card, and I just love the way it turned out.

Burlap string comes in a rainbow of colors, but I love the rustic feel of this big, loopy Natural Burlap String Bow. It really sets off the soft pinks and blues in the paper collection.

A Zutter Bow-it-All Tool makes quick work of tying this bow style.

The inside of the card has a lovely pop up gift card holder!

The best thing about Natural Burlap String, apart from it’s amazing versatility, is that it is also incredibly affordable.  You can’t beat that!

I hope I’ve shared some tips and tricks that you can use in your own crafty adventures.  If so, I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just love this pop up card idea. The pastel colors in this card are so “Spring”–so needed right now as January comes to an end. Definitely want to add this pop up design to my must try list. As always, thanks for sharing. Your blog is always a delight to visit.

Kathy, your cards are so inspiring! You do such a wonderful job in designing. Thank you for sharing! I have a question for you…where did you get the scoring tool that you use? Your scores are always so perfect and the tools that come with the scoreboards are just not that precise. Thanks again

Hi, Lynn! I’ve had this stylus forever, and I think it is off the market. However, Heartfelt Creations makes a great flower shaping tool kit and you could easily use one of those stylus nibs to score paper. It would work perfectly! Thanks so much for your kind words! You made my day!

Hi Kathy, I get the feeling you love burlap string, only kidding! Your card is beautiful and the pop up design is clever. Thanks for inspiration and showing links for the pop up, your instructions are always helpful and clear to follow. Take care xx

Another fabulous interactive card with so many lovely details! I really love the addition of the burlap string, and am going to practice and see if I can do something similar without the bow it all. I probably will realize I NEED the bow it all. What a great pop up within the card. I’m going to check out the video! Thank you for your wonderful inspiration, Kathy! Sending big hugs!
