Busy Bee Greeting Card with Pocket

RRR Blog Hop: Busy Bee Greeting Card with Pocket

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Are you ready to hop?  You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog.  Today I have a “bee-utiful” card made with gorgeous ribbons from the April Ribbon Club Collection.  This Busy Bee Greeting Card has a fun pocket and sweet treats inside.  But before we take a look, here’s a peek at the fabulous ribbons in Aqua and Coral Ribbon Mix.

Buzzing with  Beautiful Blooms

This card was inspired by our crabapple tree.  With it being our first spring in our little ranch home, I was anxiously waiting for that tree to bloom.  It did NOT disappoint!  I had this little honeybee image from The Graphics Fairy in my download file, so printed it off to make this card.  Tropic Crosshatch Satin Ribbon is a wonderful complement to the colors in this image.

I added some lovely  flowers to my bow cluster, along with my favorite Natural Burlap String.

Vintage buttons and a vintage style key finish the card front off nicely!

This bee image is leftover from a Creativity Kit I purchased at Polly’s Paper Studio Etsy.  It makes a perfect pocket for my teabag and honey stick.

I printed off an additional image, added stitching and a magnet to the back.  And just like that,  this card is a gift!

Now hop on over and see what paper pretties Cherry has in store for you this month.  Be sure to visit all the blogs in the hop, and leave a nice comment behind.  Then visit the RRR Blog to enter the giveaway for your very own April Ribbon Club Collection.  You’ll find the entire blog hop list there, too, in case you get lost along the way.

Thanks for hopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

What a delightful card. . .and great new set of ribbons. What caught my attention on this card is the incredible similarity between the paper piece of flowers on the front of the card and the 3-D flower that you added. They appear to be a match! How great is that! Thanks for sharing creation.

Greetings Kathy! Once again, this card is a work of art. I just love the eclectic vibe! The attention to detail is noticeable in every piece of paper; the way it’s cut, inked and layered. I also love the use of vintage color as in a tea-dyed look in the paper and then, an explosive pop of color here and there. You’ve definitely turned my head with every project. Evause of your work, I’ll be buying my ribbon from RRR!

    Have a happy Easter!
