Little Birdie Crafts Butterfly Birthday Mixed Media Card Tutorial
Hello, Friends! Happy Friday! Just one more day til the weekend! I’m popping in with my first post as a member of the Little Birdie Crafts Design Team. If you’re looking fora fun weekend craft project, this Butterfly Birthday Mixed Media Card Tutorial might come in handy.
I’m learning to embrace my Mixed Media side, and finding it to be a lot of fun. I know you all know about Little Birdie Flowers…but did you know they have a whole line of Mixed Media products as well? This is a 6″ x 6″ card made with loads of Little Birdie Crafts Mixed Media goodies.
I’ve combined Little Birdie designer papers, burlap art board, Chalk Paints, Color Splash Spray, Primed Chipboard, Tassel Tags, burlap ribbon, embellishments and of course, flowers! The kraft card base is from Little Birdie as well.
I’ve scored the card cover to create a cutaway card base…and a fun little gift card pocket.
We will also make this adorable gift card wallet in the tutorial video below.

Hi Kathy, such a beautiful card with lots of hints and tips. Liking your take on mixed media too. Painting burlap, who would have thought it. I adore butterflies, they are so wonderful. My granddaughter is on holiday in Mexio at present and she has sent me the most amazing pictures of butterflies. The size and colour take your breath away. Looks like we are definitely on the same thoughts again my friend from robins to butterflies!!! Xx

Kathy, Love the kraft and burlap with the sequins. What a super bday card. Great idea for the cut away 6×6, think I have done this but forget techniques sometimes and need to be reminded of these good ideas . Love the pink rose polka dots. Brightens my day too
