Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Slimline Gift Box Card

Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Slimline Gift Box Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  The colors of this Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Slimline Gift Box Card transport me straight into a country springtime!  The month of February has been brutally cold and downright nasty over most of the US.  So I thought we might all need some cheery colors and images to warm up our crafty mojo!

You’ve probably noticed that I’m a huge fan of this 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ slimline box style card design.  I shared a tutorial for the basic card design HEREAnd if you tune in to this week’s Throwback Thursday I’ll be sharing a really sweet recipe where I’ve altered the base just a little.  This one is dolled up with pretty pastel ribbons from the RRR February Ribbon Club Assortment. The ribbon makes a great border, too!  Just layer the 3/8″ pink gingham over the 5/8″  Pink Diamond Satin and attach to the card base with Scor-Tape.

I would love to have a set of these farmhouse style canisters in my kitchen, how about you?  Flanked by blooming roses, machine stitching and little keys, you can almost smell their delicate fragrance.  A bit of iridescent metallic string adds a touch of glam to the card design.

A Peek Inside

If you guessed that there would be a box pocket inside this Farmhouse Market Slimline Gift  Box Card, then you would be correct!    I also added a little pocket on the top.  My paper was not wide enough to span the width of the card.  Easy solution?  Adhere just 3 sides of the rose/woodgrain pattern on the left to form a pocket.  This solves the problem nicely, and looks like a deliberate design choice instead of a “fix.”

It’s a tea party for one, friends!  All dressed up in pretty paper scraps and tied with a bit of ribbon, this card is ready to party!

Is it still bitterly cold where you are?  We’ve had nothing but rain for days and days, but as I write this post on Saturday afternoon, the sun is blazing in a bright blue sky.  It’s pretty doggone chilly…but at least we have sunshine!

You’ll find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Oh, I certainly love the slimline cards, and this one is right up my ally. I am a “pink” person, and this offers the recipient so much inside, plus the gorgeous card – how fun it would be to receive this card – well done!!!

Splendid way to start a morning – a Kathy make and tea! Love the cheeriness of this card, which is certainly not reflected in the cold dreariness outside. Glad for fireplaces and a hot pot of tea. By the way, how did you guess that I do have farmhouse style canisters on my mobile baking station, which I adore! I also have a Brown Betty from England, which I am using this morning.

Another beautiful Farmhouse themed project. Love the cheery colors. It is getting warmer here and the snow is melting.

Beautiful card Kathy, you fill it with such nice little treats. Like the papers they are a good company. Hope your having a great hump day! Hump day meaning it’s Wednesday, mid-week, all down hill from here, for those of you working a 9 – 5. Stay happy and safe!

Yes Kathy …luv all the pinks, and ribbons and woodgrain of this real cheery slimline card!!! And absolutely adore those retro canisters …who could resist a set of those! The inside of your card is such a “gift” with all the treats you included and paperware!!! Thanks for sharing! Now back to my craft room … I’m switching around and trying to reorganize …hugs, Suzy Q
