Carta Bella Spring Market Hello Sunshine Card Folio
Hello, Friends! Here’s an encouraging word for you: Spring is just around the corner! To help you visualize warm sunny days, I’ve created a cheery little Carta Bella Spring Market Hello Sunshine Card folio for you today. I gave myself the gift of a week of free creating last week. No design team assignments, no deadlines. Just paper play, and I had so much fun. This Hello Sunshine Card Folio was made during one of my play times.
Oooh, I can feel the snow melting when I look at this delightful spring images and patterns on this 5″ x 7″ top fold card.
TIP: Use dies to cut patterned paper in geometric shapes to add quick and easy layers to your card design. I’ve used a Spellbinders Label and Circle die, then popped each layer up on waste chipboard to add extra dimension to the card design.
Coral Rose Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon looks so very pretty with these Little Birdie flowers!
TIP: Place foam dimensionals in the top corners of your belly band, then leave the top edge open so you can tuck in some of the cute cut apart tags from the Carta Bella Spring Market Collection. Top the tags with Ivory Burlap string and some sweet pearl gems.
Carta Bella Hello Sunshine Card Folio: A Peek Inside
TIP: Create a sweet little tuck spot by adhering just the right side and the bottom edge of this shaped ephemera card to the top half of the interior. Add a Spring Market Banner Flag to the pocket for extra fun.
TIP: Use your scraps to create this darling 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ wallet. The scrap should be 4 1/4″ high and at least 8″ long. Score on the long side at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″. Line with designer papers. Add one of the cut apart images from the collection kit along with a little sticker to the front for quick and easy design.
This creates a great spot to tuck in a gift card, a tea bag…or a chocolate treat!
Hello Sunshine Card Folio: Tag and Pocket Combo
The large pocket holds this pretty tag that I die cut with my Heartfelt Creations tag Die. Add some “joy” with a Spring Market sticker. I’ve matted my card layers on Jelly Bean Green Heavy Weight Cardstock from My Favorite Things.
TIP: Mix 12×12 patterned papers with Carta Bella Spring Farmhouse 6×6 patterned papers so that the scale of the design matches the scale of the tag.
I hope I’ve shared some tips, tricks and ideas that you can use in your own crafty adventures. If so, I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,

Lovely, folio cards are a great idea.
Just luv both of your spring market folios! A day off and I’m catching up! Sure hope I haven’t missed anything that says Kathy by Design!!! That’s just not allowed! This here sure brought some spring sunshine my way on this snowy cold morning! Hugs , Suzy Q
Just a ray of sunshine. It certainly does make you think of Spring being right around the corner. We are in a deep freeze now for Victoria, and all the wee plants that were being to flower have stopped and some are frozen, so nature will have a struggle when this is over. We are even expecting more of that white stuff. ;(
Kathy, what a delightfully beautiful folio! I just love the flowers and that darling garden boots image! The flower tags are such a wonderful touch also. This totally makes me want to go out and throw some seeds into my flower bed! Carta Bella has some really beautiful papers. Thank you for sharing! Hugs
Beautiful!! This card would brighten up anyone’s day, especially around here. You always do a very creative and wonderful placement of the flowers. I love the tags. Thanks for sharing!
Kathy, this card will help me create the Mother’s Day card for my daughter who is a floral designer. I got the free bunch of ephemera from the Carla Bella Spring Market when I ordered from Scrapbook.com, so I can’t wait to use them! My favorite quote is “If I can’t create, I’ll have a hissy fit!” Carry on, my create mentor!
Love that tag you created with the HC die…really made my creative heart happy to check out all the details. Well done!
So, so pretty! Thanks for all the tips – glad you had some time to just play – always a bonus!
Kathy, this Spring folio is so refreshing. Temps here were in the 60’s for the last two days — a relief from the Artic freeze –so this design truly celebrates the glimpse of Spring we had. I know this paper collection will be going on my wish list. Thanks for sharing your creativity…and those helpful tips. Hugs!
You just brought Spring into my heart! So lovely! I have these paper collection and I loved all your wonderful hints. Thank you!
