Hello, Sunshine and Sunflowers!  It’s always nice to have a sort of “warm up” card to kick off a card kit.  So I designed this pair of cheery envelope ad pocket shaker cards to get things started.  Where’s the pocket?  Well, you’ll just have to watch the video reveal to find out!

Cards that move make me happy.  And cards with belly bands always seem to have a certain flair, don’t you think?  But what happens when you combine the two?  You get a really stylish and fabulous Accordion Gatefold Card.  Here’s a sneak peek at the inside of these fun to make cards!

Classic Sunflower Slimline Card

Hello, gorgeous!  This slimline card is ridiculously easy to make.  A few simple designer touches make it a stand out.  It’s one of my favorite cards in the kit.

Slide and Lock Cards

Here’s another kinetic card that’s loads of fun to make and impressive to give.  These slide and lock cards take a basic gatefold card design to a whole new level.  The focal image slides up and down.

Actually, it slides right off the card!  When it is in place, though, it holds the gatefold element in place.  You’ve just gotta love a fun fold card that is part toy!

Shaped Easel Cards

Easel cards are probably my favorite fun fold style.  The fact that they can stand upright for display has a lot to do with that.  These easel cards do that, of course.  But a sweet shaped focal image makes them even more dynamic.

Bridge Cards

No…not like the bridge playing cards!  These bridge cards are a neat type of trifold card with a hidden image behind the focal image.  You’ll see how cool they are in the video below.

Let’s see….that’s 11 cards…which is pretty good for a card kit.  But wait, there’s more!

Shaker Front Tri-Fold Folio

I had loads of little tags, journal cards and labels left over from making the card kit.  So I decided to create this darling 6×6 accordion style folio with a shaker frame cover.  It was the perfect way to finish out this wonderful card kit.

Hello, Friends!  There’s no Make & Take Tuesday tutorial today, but I do have  this Ciao Bella Farmhouse Garden Card Kit Sneak Peek to share with you.  As I write this, I am in the middle of editing the video tutorials and photos for this Button Farm Club September card kit.

When I first laid eyes on the Farmhouse Garden papers, I knew they were the perfect collection to help us transition from summer to fall.  The papers are filled with beautiful floral images, sweet pups and kitties, gorgeous patterned papers and so many wonderful images that the hardest thing about designing this  kit was deciding which ones to use!

Fun Fold Card Extravaganza

If you are a cardmaker like me, then you love to learn a new fun fold card technique.  There are 11 cards in this kit, and 10 of them are fun folds! How’s that for a fun fold card extravaganza?

Several of  you have asked me to share tutorials for standard A2 cards (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″).  So I included several of those in this kit to honor that request.  And, most of these cards fold flat for easy mailing, too.

Life Captured 4th Quarter Kit Reveal for the Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  It’s been a busy week in the studio getting this Life Captured 4th Quarter Kit Reveal ready for The Button Farm Club.  This is the final installment of our year-long project featuring monthly folios made with Simple Stories Life Captured paper collection.  It’s been such a fun year creating with these fresh, vibrant papers.  And now we are stepping into the most beautiful months of the year: October, November and December.

So many fun holidays and events take place during these months, and we want to preserve all the wonderful memories of time spent with family and friends. But documenting memories takes a lot of time, so often we just don’t get it done.  That’s why I designed these quick and easy folios so we can capture the faces and places we love so much.

Each of the folios can be completed in under an hour.  Yet, the simply layout provides loads of room for photos, journaling and sweet spots to tuck in memorabilia so we can look back at happy days and smile. Here’s a quick peek at the folios in this quarter’s kit.

The October Folio

Acorns, fall leaves, flowers and pumpkins take center stage in this vibrant little folio.

Wait ’til you see all the room this compact folio has inside!

November, November

It always seems to me that fall flowers are the most vibrant blooms of the year.  Do they know that winter is coming soon, so they decide to show off?  Whatever the reason, I decided to feature these gorgeous fall blooms on the cover of the November folio.  You’ll get to see all the goodies inside when you watch the video reveal below.

December: The Sweetest Month of the Year

December is made for memories, don’t you think?  Holiday baking, wrapping presents, decorating the tree, and then unwrapping on Christmas morning make for perfect photo ops.

Since baking plays such a huge role during the Christmas holidays, I decided to add some sweet little recipe folios to the design.  And honestly, how sweet is this paper?

So how do we store all the  memories complied in these sweet little folios?  Well, After much thinking, planning and searching, I found these adorable magazine slipcases to house the folios.  They are a perfect color match for the paper collection: super affordable,  sturdy, easy to assemble and look great on display.

Nana’s Kitchen Recipe Album Kit Reveal for Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  I’m excited to announce my Nana’s Kitchen Recipe Album Kit Reveal for Button Farm Club today.  This project has been in the works for several months now, so it’s a happy day to be able to finally share it with you.

My grandmother was a marvelous cook.  Every Sunday our family gathered at her home for Sunday dinner.  I can still remember walking along her front porch to the kitchen door.  As you approached, savory aromas would make your mouth water.  Baked ham, roast beef, turkey, chicken, or lamb…you never knew what the main course would be; you only knew it would be wonderful.  Our big, noisy family crowded around the dining room table as steaming bowls of mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables were passed from plate to plate.  This ritual of  lingering over a shared meal, lively conversation, and laughter marked my life and gave me a strong identity.

That’s why I wanted to make this recipe album kit.  It’s an homage to my family roots and a tribute to those country women who knew how to spread a table and create special memories.

Keepsake Recipes

This is the perfect place to write down all your keepsake recipes.  The album is huge: 31 double sided 6×8 pages!  There’s room for loads of recipes, yes.  But there’s also room to add family photos and ephemera from the people you love.

Hello, Friends!  I’ve been busy for a full week putting this Ciao  Bella Christmas Vibes Card Kit together for The Button Farm Club.  It’s my June Quarterly Card Club Kit, and it captures all the warmth and nostalgia of an old fashioned Christmas!

I know it’s only June, but many of  you had requested that we release the card kit early to give you more time to get it all done.  Your wish is our command, so here we are…and really, right on time for Christmas in July.
