Hello, Friends!  Just popping in quickly today to share my Life Captured 3rd Quarter Kit Reveal with you. We created the January, February and March folios for The Button Farm Club back in December  2022.  Then in February we released the April, May and June folios.  Now we are headed full on into the summer months with the July, August and September release.  This year is passing by very quickly!

Life Captured July Folio: Watermelon Colors!

Is there anything more refreshing than a sweet slice of watermelon on a hot July day?  That’s what the vibrant colors of the July folio makes me think of.

The August folio has a back to school theme done up in the colors of sweet orange, lime and raspberry sherbet!  Just the thing to cool off the dog days of August.

Hello, Autumn!  This colorful folio sets the stage for the arrival of fall with a cute vintage pickup truck filled to the brim with pumpkins in all shapes and sizes.

Hello, Friends!  I’ve been working on this Button Farm Club Album in a Box Kit Reveal all week long.  It’s finally finished and I’m so excited to share it with you today. Do you love bees, and flowers and sunshiny colors? Then I think you are really going to enjoy this kit!

I’ve designed a clever easel topper for the Graphic 45 Album in a Box.  This way, you can set the album out as part of your spring into summer home décor.  Since the box measures 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ it can fit into small spaces.  And because the easel style topper folds flat, it’s also easy to store.  How cute would this be on your office or craft room desk?

Handmade Embellishments

First, we’ll learn how to make handmade rosettes without using any dies. Then I’ll show you my sneaky trick for making rolled roses using simple items that most everyone has on hand. The tutorial for this project is filled with lots of helpful tips and techniques that you will be able to carry over into all your crafty adventures.   You’ll be amazed at how simple the process is, and you’ll love having the ability to add cute handmade embellishments to your cards, layouts and crafty projects.

What do you do with your itty bitty scraps of designer paper? Would you like to learn how to make cute mini banner embellishments with them?  Well, I’ll show you how in the tutorial.

An Upgraded Waterfall Feature

Take a look at this stylish belted waterfall feature!  Isn’t it fun? Waterfall features are a staple in any mini album.  They allow you to add lots of photos in a small space.  Great news: this belted waterfall feature does not require magnets.  How fun is that?

As you can see in this photo, the mini album is filled with lots of fun surprises.  I’ve prepared a little video tour that goes over the items that come in your kit as well as a project walk through.

Simple Stories Heart Eyes Card Kit Reveal for The Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  I’m popping in today to share the first look at this adorable Simple Stories Heart Eyes Card Kit with you.  It’s my Button Farm Club Quarterly Subscription kit for December 2022. Sometimes we can hit what I call the “post-holiday crafting slump”.  Does that ever happen to you?  Our crafty mojo drops down with the winter temperatures, and we need some fun, inspirational ideas to get us back into the creative swing of things.  Well, I designed this vibrant kit with that in mind, and I think you are really going to love it.  Let’s take a closer look at the fun projects in this kit, shall we?

Dimensional Loaded Envelope Tutorial

I love loaded envelopes, and I’ve been making them since I was about 6 years old.  Of course, I didn’t call them that back then, but that’s what they were.  Mom and Dad kept an office for our small town credit union in our home when I was growing up.  The office trash can was always filled with manila envelopes  (remember those?) and I used to fish them out, dress them up with cut out hearts or snowflakes or whatever the theme of the moment happened to be. Then I would fill them to the brim with little notes and drawings and my version of cards.

So when I entered the world of crafting, I fell in love with this concept all over again.  Some time ago, I figured out how to make the envelopes in 3-D.  You all fell in love with those projects and asked for a tutorial. But because the process was complicated and unpredictable, I never felt comfortable sharing it with you.  I kept working on the paper engineering, and earlier this year, I came up with such a simple way to make these delightful box-style envelopes, that I decided to include the design in one of my card kits.

Y’all, you are going to LOVE how easy it is to make the envelope base!  So that is why I made this the very first project in our December kit.  I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to share the design with you!

No card kit is complete without a couple of cute shaker cards!  And y’all never seem to grow tired of making them!

Can you see the super cute sprinkles and candy hearts in the shaker window?  This view of the closed card makes it a bit easier to see, but the card actually does stand up like an easel for display.  What a bright spot of color to add to  your desk!
