Graphic 45 Safari Adventure Zoo Party Ensemble
Hello, G’45er’s! Welcome to the Jungle! I have such a fun idea to share with you today. I’ve used Graphic 45’s Safari Adventure papers and Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Beach Cabanas to create a super cute Zoo Party Ensemble. I’ve covered everything from quick and easy invitations, to table decor, to a zoo party banner made with Staples Alpha Tags and even a mini album to hold all your fond zoo party memories. There’s LOTS to see today, so you might want to grab a cuppa and a snack to sustain yourself cuz it’s going to be wild!
Here’s a shot of the beach cabanas that I turned into jungle huts surrounded by the party banner. This is maybe the quickest, easiest banner you’ll ever make! I simply traced the Staples Alpha Tags onto patterned paper then used my craft knife to cut out the letter portion. This goes really fast when you use your craft knife on glass because the blade just glides over the slick surface. Each tag was backed with paper from the 12×12 prints and patterns, then traced inside the letters to make them pop. I also painted the outer edge of each tag with black paint to anchor the design. Add a few chips and tags, some pretty Rust Seam Binding, and the banner is done!
Here’s the banner hanging with the huts. If you look closely, you can just see the mini album and the invite peeping from the back. This zoo party ensemble is large, so it was hard to photograph. But isn’t it fun?
Zoo Party Ensemble Mini Album with Snapguide
Here’s a look at the cover of the tri-fold mini album. This is such a fun design, and really easy to make. I have a Snapguide tutorial that will walk you through the steps. You’ll also find lots of detail shots and a complete supply list in the Snapguide.
Here’s a quick peek inside. I have a flip out photo holder on the left with some hidden pockets, and a fun waterfall folio made with Tammy Tutterow’s Waterfall 1 Die (Spellbinders). And just look at all these fun animal print ribbons!
Here’s a quick look at the album fully opened. My son’s family has a wonderful tradition of taking the girls to the zoo when they turn two, so this zoo party ensemble is all set for sweet little Liddy’s 2nd birthday.
I left room on the back cover for a really large photo of the girls crossing this rope bridge.
Transforming Beach Cabanas into Jungle Huts
Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Beach Cabanas (coming soon!) were quickly transformed into these darling jungle huts. (there are 5 in a set, but I wanted you to be able to see the details…and there are even more shots in the YouTube video that follows.) I simply traced each hut onto Safari Adventure 12×12 prints and patterns then used brown packing paper to build the thatched roofs. I spritzed the paper with Glimmer Mist, tore off strips, and shredded the ends with my fringe scissors. Then the paper was glued in layers onto the roof. Wrapping Burlap Ribbon and Ribbon Leaves around the base of each hut added to the jungle hut feel.
Quick and Easy Zoo Party Ensemble Invitations
How about a 5 minute themed invitation to your Zoo themed party? Well, this is it. I used a small kraft bag. as the base. Then I just cut a rectangle of leopard print paper, matted it on black paper and fussy cut the Safari Adventure Medallion. You could make one of these, then scan it into your printer and make as many as needed. The little banner tag is from the Safari Adventure Tags and Banners.
The actual invitation is even easier to create. Simply flip over an ephemera card and add the pertinent details of who, what, when, and where. Clip it into the bag and BAM! You’re ready to get the party started!
Zoo Party Ensemble YouTube Video
To see each element in detail, I created a quick YouTube Video. I hope you enjoy…and I hope I was able to share some ideas in this Zoo Party Ensemble that you’ll be able to use in your own party planning!
Thanks for stopping by!
