Cute Little Paper Clip Embellies

Just a Hint of Fall Paper Bag Pocket by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Product October Afternoon Apple Cider Photo 4 Just a Hint of Fall Paper Bag Pocket by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Product October Afternoon Apple Cider Photo 5Look at these super cute paper clip embellishments!  I made them by punching out 2 half inch circles for each clip.  Hot glue was added to the center of one circle and then it was placed on the backside of the paper clip.  The other circle was pressed into the hot glue from the front side of the clip, making a neat platform for these adorable puffy stickers that came with the Apple Cider collection.  They add a festive feel to the paper bag pocket, don’t you think? I’m sure I’ll be making more of these!

From here, you will hop on over and see what kind of fun Deborah has in store for you.  Visit all the blogs on the hop, leave a  nice comment and then hop on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog to answer Bonnie’s question of the month.  Then you’ll be entered into a drawing to win your very own Colors of Autumn Ribbon Club Assortment so you can add just a hint of fall to your projects!

Thanks for stopping by!  Now go get your craft on!

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card for RRR

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Our sweet l’il grandgirl celebrated her 4th birthday recently.  Naturally, I had to make her a special card for her special day.  So I pulled out my Really Reasonable Ribbon  and worked up this super fun retro Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card to help her celebrate.

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card for RRRI love this retro color palette of teal and aqua.  I carried it out by embellishing my card with cheery Red Swiss Dot Satin Ribbon topped with a White Iridescent Metallic String Bow.  Simple punched circles are dressed up with a WOC Trellis Rose and some Red and White Sweetheart Blossoms.

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card To add  texture, I lined the base panel with a strip of Melissa Natural Crocheted Lace.  This combination of ribbon, lace and flowers really make this card birthday party ready!

If you are also a fan of this great retro color palette, you’ll want to take a peek at the April Ribbon Club Collection, which features a fantastic mix of red and turquoise ribbons.

Christmas Tags in Bags for Really Reasonable Ribbon

RRRChallengeBadge

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!

It’s time for another fabulous challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Our theme this time is “Tag, You’re It!”  Create a tag with ribbon or trim and share it with us over on the  Really Reasonable Ribbon BLOG .    I used the   the fresh, fun ribbons in the October “Crazy for Christmas” Ribbon Club Assortment to make some super cute retro styled Christmas Tags in Bags.  Check out these ribbons!

https://www.reasonableribbon.com/item_images/October2015lge.gif

These ribbons put the jolly in Holly Jolly!  Since they have such a great retro vibe, I pulled out some cute October Afternoon papers and went to work.

Kathy by Design/Christmas Gift Card Tags in BagsI layered these super fun retro papers and ribbons onto Chevron Striped Middy Bitty Paper Bags.  They are the perfect vehicle for presenting a gift card or cash during the holidays.   You can even tuck in an individually wrapped chocolate, pouch of hot cocoa, tickets, a Christmas cookie or any smallish gift. And you can use the sparkly clothespins to hang them on the tree!

Kathy by Design/Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags 01This snowy white Mary Crochet lace is perfect for winter projects.  It adds great texture when used as a border piece on this envelope.  And I have a new ribbon crush!  This Poppy Red Taffeta Ribbon ties the prettiest bows and pairs perfectly with the cutie pie Mittens on Poppy Red Grosgrain Ribbon, too.  In fact, that’s one of the things I love the most about the Ribbon Club at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  All the ribbons complement one another.  It makes it so easy to pull together a great project! My double loop bow was topped with a snowy white WOC Magnolia Blossom.

Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags 02I carried the ribbon theme inside the card with a pair of punched and paper pieced mittens held together by red burlap string, and more pretty mitten ribbon. This time I layered it up with Forest Green Satin Ribbon with a Grosgrain edge.

Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags 03Here’s another version of this same design.  This time I topped the crochet lace with Christmas Fun Flowers Satin Ribbon.  For some reason, this ribbon reminds me of the old fashioned Christmas hard candy my grandmother had around during the holidays. I wrapped the top of my bag with Emerald Checkerboard Satin Ribbon tied in a simple square knot.  Then this was topped with a loopy  string bow made with Parrot Green and Red Burlap String.

Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags 04I paired these two ribbons up again on the tag inside the bag, adding a Red Cottage Rose to pretty it up even more.

Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags 05I love the combination of the Forest Green Satin with the playful Christmas zig-zag ribbon.  And I used the burlap string bow again here…it just seemed right for the image.  I backed my sentiment banner with a little bit of the same Forest Green ribbon to make it pop off the page.

Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags 06And i used the same Dynamic Duo on the gift tag inside the envelope.  I hope you’ll make some of these cute Christmas Gift Card Tags in Bags for your own stocking stuffers.  They are addicitive…once you get started, you just want to keep on making them!

Now dig into your crafty stash and make some fabby tags with ribbon or trim!  Tag!  You’re it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Get a Head Start on Christmas

RRRChallengeBadgeReally Reasonable Ribbon Challenge: Get a Head Start on Christmas

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!

Oh what fun it is to get a head start on Christmas!  Really Reasonable Ribbon is giving you a gentle nudge with this month’s challenge: Get a Head Start on Christmas.  The design team has worked up some super fun projects using Christmas ribbons and trim.  And you get to play along!  Just visit the RRR BLOG and link up your own holiday project using ribbon or trim and you, too can get a head start on Christmas!

After making that huge December Daily mini album, I decided to make a card for this challenge. I used more of the Crazy for Christmas Ribbon Club Assortment and retro papers from October Afternoon to make this frosty snow man card.

Kathy by Design Retro Christmas Card Don’t you just love him?  After stitching the background paper to my base, I used the darling Christmas mittens ribbon to form a border on the top and bottom of the card.  My polka dot panel was topped with snowy white Mary Crocheted Lace to add nice texture and to mimic freshly fallen snow.   But the star of this show is the amazing double loop bow that I tied with Red Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.  This is probably one of the easiest ribbons to use when tying a multi layered bow.  And it comes in a rainbow of colors!

RRR Christmas Challenge 02This 5″ x 7″ top fold card has loads of layers, and so does my bow.  Adding a touch of gold metallic string adds such a nice pop of glimmer and shine, especially when paired with some mini jingle bells or a glittery white clothespin.

RRR Christmas Challenge 05The inside of the card opens to reveal a pocket  stuffed with ribbon topped tags.  I used Christmas Fun Flowers Ribbon as a border on the top half of the card.

RRR Christmas Challenge 06The pocket on the bottom has been decorated with a sparkly Christmas tree and some festive Red Zig Zag on White Satin Ribbon. I love this ribbon because it makes me think of old fashioned ribbon candy!  YUM!

RRR Christmas Challenge 07The tags inside the pocket were made by stamping some of my Christmas stamps onto white cardstock.  Adding the ribbon made them really special!

Now it’s your turn!  Get a head start on Christmas and make a holiday project with ribbon or trim, link it up, and I’ll be popping by to take a look at your work of art!  Can’t wait to see what you make!

If you’d like to purchase this card, you can find it in my ETSY shop.
