Authentique Masquerade Halloween Photo Wallet Tutorial
Hello, Friends! Or maybe I should say “boo” because today I’m sharing an Authentique Paper Masquerade Halloween Photo Wallet Tutorial. You’ve seen this design HERE and HERE, but because I had so many requests for a tutorial, I’ve made it again. This photo wallet is a fairly quick and easy make. It’s also incredibly versatile. Just change out your papers to match the theme and you’re on your way!
The video tutorial provides you with all the measurements and information you need, so I’ll just whet your appetite with some photos and a tip or two. Then you can pop on over to my YouTube Channel to watch the video tutorial.
Tips, Tricks and Details
Create a spooky spiderweb layer with an Amazing Paper Grace Doily Round. First, die cut the background from Authentique Spectrum Orange Blossom Cardstock. Then cut the doily overlay from Black Jack Spectrum Cardstock. This layer makes a great visual backdrop for the shaker frame.
Rows of messy stitching help to frame the card front. First, layer Black Jack, Orange Blossom and Masquerade papers together. Remember to only put a dab of adhesive in the center of each layer. Otherwise your sewing machine will bog down in the adhesive as you stitch.
Paint a white resin frame with Black Chalk Ink. Let it dry a second or two, then gently wipe the paint back to create an aged, worn finish. Then brush lightly with Little Birdie Metallic Wax (linked below) for a perfectly petrified finish. Do you spot the wee spiders perching on the flowers? Those are from Reneabouquets, as are the spooktacular spider webs in the corners of the frame.
I’ll show you how I finished the Happy Halloween Beautiful Board Sentiment in the video. Adding the little silver bat charm is a fun addition. For the bow, top candy corn ribbon with a bit of black micro gingham and an old Prima flower from my stash.
A Peek Inside
Here’s a stylishly belted photo cascade built inside the folio.
Flaps and pockets…
…tip in pages…
and sneaky secret side pockets with mini folios await you within, if you dare!
And there is lots more room for photos in the trifold folio and wallet photo that are tucked inside the bottom pocket!
