Christmas 2025 Advent Banner and Table Favors

Christmas 2025 Advent Banner and Table Favors Project Share and Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  Today I have a quick little Christmas Advent Banner and Table Favors project share and tutorial for you..  It’s my very first Christmas project for 2025, and I had such fun making it!

Do you ever have a project in your mind that you just want to make for a long, long time?  I’ve had this Advent banner in my head for ages, but never had the time/opportunity to get it made.  While I was recently battling a  truly rotten cold, I decided to get it started.  And once I got started, I could not stop!

Since I have enough Christmas paper to last me for the next 25 years, I dug out some beautiful papers that had been languishing away in the Closet of Inspiration and Delight (aka The Closet of Shame).

The end result was not one project, but two.  I hope you will enjoy them both.

Prima  From the North Pole Advent Banner

This massive Advent Banner is made with Prima From the North Pole.  I actually won this collection from Prima when they launched a few new collection elements this summer.  It’s super festive and worked so well for this project.

Here’s a closer look at a few of the 25 boxes, one for each day of the Advent season.  Here’s how I did it:

  • First, make each individual box and decorate as desired.
  • Next, thread ribbon under the handle of each box, starting with day 25 and working backwards.  Leave about 8″ of ribbon on both ends of the banner and tie on ribbon streamers.
  • Now, tie each box in place with a piece of colorful ribbon.
  • Finish the ends with flowers, buttons, pine boughs or whatever suits your decor.

Since the boxes are filled with tea, peppermints and honey crystals, I decided not to hang it.  It’s heavy!  But it looks great displayed on a buffet table, bookshelf or mantle.

This is the sweetest little box!  What can we do with it?  Well, we could hang it on the tree, stuff it in a stocking, make a stack of them for Secret Santa gifts, or use them as table favors.  I opted for table favors and tucked a chocolate, tea bag, Biscoff Cookie, Peppermint Stick, mini note card and honey crystals packet inside each one.  What would you do with these sweet boxes?

These boxes come together very quickly, as you will see in this YouTube video.  Because the banner is so large, there’s just a project share.  But I show you how to assemble and decorate the table favors.  So grab a cuppa and a snack and please enjoy!

I’ll be back on Wednesday with our first Wonderful Wednesday  Christmas tutorial .  If you missed the video tour of the paper collections we’ll be using in November and December, you can find it HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!

This is a wonderful way to use up those bits and pieces and include a surprise. I bet your grandchildren will be right into opening a box each day this December. Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if your children want a go at opening a box too, as it would be so much fun!

I hope you are feeling better! What a fantastic banner you have made-the little boxes are so cute and can be changed out for any occasion. Thank you so much for sharing.
