Authentique Christmas Greetings Shaker Card Magical Christmas by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Christmas Cookie Tree Shaker Card Folio for The Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Christmas Cookie Tree Shaker Card Folio is my inspiration project for the Really Reasonable Ribbon October 2020 Blog Hop.  Welcome to the hop!  You should be coming here from the amazing Ginny Nemchak’s blog.   This month, we are getting ready for Christmas.  Get ready to swoon.  This Christmas Ribbon assortment is gorgeous!

Really Reasonable Ribbon October 2020 Ribbon Club Assortment

See?  The metallic accents go perfectly with the Authentique Paper Christmas Greetings paper collection that I used on this 5″ x 7″ card folio.

TIP:  Create a festive holiday border with the Reindeer Red Satin Ribbon.  It really made this card front pop!

TIP: Mix and match!  This elegant 3/8″ Holly Satin Ribbon plays beautifully with the Reindeer Red Satin.  That’s the beauty of working with a color-coordinated Ribbon Club Assortment.  Everything works together in perfect harmony.

TIP: Turn a Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Lace Frame into a shaker box.  Simply adhere clear cardstock to the back side of the frame, lay down some foam tape fill with adorable holiday sequins and seal with a 3×4 image from the paper collection.

And how much do we love this cookie tree?

A Peek Inside

Turn this card into a gift by adding a box pocket and a recipe folio to the interior.

TIP:  “Tie” everything together with some Peppermint Stick Satin Ribbon.

I’ve added pockets and flaps to this accordion style recipe card holder.  This is the perfect place to keep your favorite Christmas Cookie Recipes.  It also make a great holiday gift!  Here’s a peek at some folio details.

More Ribbon!

I love that Reindeer Satin Ribbon so much that I had to add it to the top of my box pocket.  Then I filled the pocket with goodies from Santa’s Sleigh.  Look how pretty the Reindeer Satin is on the top of the photo mat.  I’ve added cream cardstock to the back side of the mat for journaling.

I must confess I look first for the “little gifts” inside – they are always so delish and make me run for a cuppa to sit and enjoy the rest. Fabulous tips and plan to use a frame for a shaker. You are an AWESOME crafter. This one is my favorite so far…those ribbons are spectacular and the papers sublime. How do you make so many papers play so well?

    Hi Kathy,
This is adorable. The center tree looks like it could be a stitched piece too. Love it!

First off the sequins reminds me of a dish of candies at Grama’s house, remember those? They all stuck together. ha ha ha. Beautiful card/folio Kathy. Really captured the festive season! Hugs from Victoria, BC
