Christmas Tea Party in a Shaker Tag Tutorial

Prima Tea Party in a Shaker Tag Tutorial for Wonderful Wednesday Tag of the Month

Hello, Friends!  It’s Wonderful Wednesday, and I have a lovely Prima Christmas Tea Party in a Shaker Tag Tutorial to share with you.  Oh, what fun I had putting this pretty little confection together!  It’s a tag, but it’s also a display piece.  It’s a shuttered shaker, and it’s also a tea party in a box.  Does it get any more fun that that?  I don’t think so!

If you haven’t guessed already, our theme for October (and November, too) is everything Christmas.  If you have any specific requests, now is the time to make them in the comment section below this post.

Mixed Media and Upcycled Product Packaging

The base for our Tag of the Month is a Graphic 45 Staples Packaging Tag.  I chose it for this project because it is strong and sturdy.  This mixed media creation needed something that would bear the weight of the box pocket and this fun shuttered shaker box without bowing or bending.  Do you save your Staples Packaging, too?  My Closet of Inspiration and Delight has quite a pile that I’ve accumulated over the years.

You’re going to love how quick and easy it is to create this shuttered shaker box, too.  No foam tape required!

The Flip Side

Here’s a peek at the Tea Party in a Box.  Why cover just one side of a tag if you can cover two?  You’ll get to peek at all the goodies inside the box in the video tutorial below.

You really set the scene with this one Kathy. Your project has so many uses especially when the tea party nummies are long gone! Delightful, and pretty, well done indeed. We are busy with visitors staying although there has been arty time, my sanity…… nearly done with birthday cards, four to go then the headspace will be all things Christmas, so your weekly videos will keep me motivated, thank you.

Great to hear Dale singing and playing Christmas music again. Has he composed anything new lately? I, too, bought the Prima 25 and Peppermint. Can’t resist all the pinks in their Halloween and Christmas papers. I recognize the shutters…I believe you made an Alice project with them that I need to bring out again. Tags, including this one are so much fun!

I have the shutters is my stash but have never used them. I am glad you did the thinking for me. This is a wonderful project! 🙂

Wow-what a great shaker tag! Love the use of the shutters for the shaker element. Your creativity always amazes me! I am looking forward to the Christmas theme the next two months. Thank you for the video.
