Ciao Bella Majestic Dream Banner Tutorial with Reneabouquets for Wonderful Wednesday
Hello, Friends! There’s no place like home, and this Ciao Bella Majestic Dream Banner Tutorial really brings that idiom to life. Welcome to our Wonderful Wednesday Banner of the Month Tutorial for April 2025! Today’s project is filled with charming rustic cottages, spring flowers, butterflies and even a peacock or two. It’s a lovely bit of springtime home decor that I hope you’ll enjoy creating.
Homes Sweet Homes
There’s something very cozy and nostalgic about a red and aqua color palette. For today’s project I’ve employed a poppy red and muted aqua color palette.
TIP: Tear a strip of red ticking fabric and use it in place of ribbon for your banner. It brings a sort of rustic charm and lots of texture to your design, especially when you top it with antique lace.
How would you like to live in one of these sweet little cottages? I picture them near the sea, brined with a bit of salt and weathered by the wind. Add even more of a weathered look with a rusty metal fence embellishment. This is tapped with Evergreen Bough Distress Paint to give it even more rustic appeal.
Emboss a Peacock Clock from Reneabouquets with Seth Apter Vintage Patina Baked Textures, then flank it with a pretty peacock feather and a sparkling Reneabouquets Butterfly.
You’ll notice in the video that I had not added the butterflies until after I finished shooting. I just felt like the banner needed a bit more sparkle, and these butterflies were the perfect finishing touch.
Fussy cut a peacock and place him inside this ornate Beautiful Board frame. Tuck fussy cut poppies behind the frame to add depth and dimension.

Your banner has that right up my alley vintage feel with the fabric and lace, the quirky houses and Reneabouquets boards are the perfect match. This really is a masterpiece and would be a delight hanging anywhere. I really must put aside time to make a banner this year for the arty space, your videos will help with the decision making that is for sure. The nip in the air overnight and in the morning makes for paperart time without marking all the cardstock. Loving the cooler weather to be creative both in the garden and in the study, thanks for you inspirational videos Kathy.
Oh my! The textures! The details! The colors! Gorgeous. Love your tips too!
