Ciao Bella Sound of Winter Frisky Squirrel Card Folio
Hello, Friends! Today I have another sweet Ciao Bella Sound of Winter project to share with you. This Frisky Squirrel Card Folio is filled with rustic details that make my heart happy!
Loaded with texture, this 5″ x 7″ card has a shaped, cut-away pocket filled with sweet little tags. Vintage buttons, painted metal pine branches, die cut foliage and burlap string lend a rustic, woodland feel.
TIP: Add loads of texture to your tiny tags with scraps of canvas. Cut fishtail banners on the ends of 1″ wide canvas, Paint wooden star buttons with ivory chalk paint. Then top with vintage buttons and stitch onto the tags. The end result is so pretty.
The card is still lovely, even after the tags have been removed from the pocket.
Frisky Squirrel Card Folio: A Peek Inside
The inside features a flap page with a magnetic closure and a pocket filled with little treasures.
TIP: When an image is too wide for a card base, simply score a fold line and turn it into a flap feature. Add a fancy sentiment panel and a cut out from the collection to complete the scene.
The large pocket on the bottom holds a 4″ x 6″ image that I turned into a magnet. And of course, there is a tea bag to warm up cold winter nights.
The collection has these pretty tall tags. Trim these out and stitch onto canvas to make a sweet little bookmark.
This could serve as a Christmas card, New Year’s card, a winter birthday or get well card, too. I love the cozy feeling these papers and images evoke, and had such fun working with them.
I hope I’ve shared some tips, tricks and ideas that you can use in your next crafty adventure. If so, I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below. You’ll also find a linked supply list below the signature of this post.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy
