Cosy Winter Rustic Christmas Banner for the RRR Blog Hop by Kathy Clement

Cosy Winter Rustic Christmas Banner for the Really Reasonable Ribbon November 2021 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Cosy Winter Rustic Christmas Banner is my inspiration piece for the Really Reasonable Ribbon November 2021 Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Ginny’s beautiful blog.   Today we’re celebrating the lovely Vintage Christmas Ribbon Club Assortment.

This might just be my favorite Christmas Ribbon Club Assortment ever!  Just look at those darling little snowy house, cheery cardinals, nostalgic plaid and elegant script ribbons!  The neutral, softer color palette made this ribbon a perfect playmate for my Cosy Winter paper collection.

Banner Day!

Cosy Winter Christmas Banner by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Banners and Christmas just seem to go together, don’t they?  And this one is so easy to make!

First, stitch P13 Garland Tags onto squares of designer paper. Then machine stitch   Sherry Taffeta Ribbon behind each pennant, and  Winter Neighborhood Satin on the top side.

Next, decorate between each pennant with vintage buttons and Tan Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon, Then add some rusty snowflakes and mini jingle bells to amp up the vintage vibe.

Now look through your stash of winter embellishments.  You’ll be sure to find some special goodies to dress up your banner.

Add just the right rustic touch with little burlap string bows.

Now finish the corners with festive bow clusters.  Vintage Christmas Plaid Ribbon pairs nicely with burlap string bows.  Bright poinsettias and white bead/berry clusters add extra cheer.

On With the Hop!

Now pop on over to Cheryl’s lovely blog to see what treats she has in store for you!  Be sure to finish the hop over on the RRR Blog.  If you answer Bonnie’s Question of the Month, your name will be entered into a drawing to win your very own Vintage Christmas Ribbon Club Assortment.

But you don’t have to be sad if you are not the lucky winner!  It’s easy and affordable to sign up for the Monthly Ribbon Club.  You can find out all about it HERE.  Getting your Ribbon Club Assortment in the mail each month is a great way to build up your ribbon stash.  It’s also like getting a Christmas present 12 times a year.  What joy!

So adorbs! Banners like yours to hang on a fireplace, for instance, would be a great/fun/easy “gift” to send out instead of Christmas cards for a delightful and surprising change.

Love your banners Kathy, this one is a really nice old Christmas vibe. I do like the colours! I am looking at my old cricut machine today, one of the first ones out, it’s the tiny one and does so many things. I don’t need dies, I have this and quite a few cool cartridges. The Christmas one I have is great, loaded with Santas, deers, words etc. It’s great, so I’m getting closer to making stuff. Thanks for sharing the banner Kathy it is lovely! Enjoy your Sunday.

Oh Kathy, I just love your banners! The colors and images in this collection are so soft and beautiful. That ribbon collection goes so perfectly with everything and your buttons are so pretty and add just that special touch. How pretty this would look strung across the top of a fireplace mantel. Thank you for sharing! Hugs!

This is such a beautiful banner…one that would be appropriate for the entire winter season. I really appreciate all the design details that go into creating a project such as this. Sewing the banners onto the wider ribbon does make for a much sturdier drape/swag against the wall. I like the vintage look of this ribbon collection. You have used the ribbons well!!

I love the colors in this banner – very rich!! The paper collection is very calming, and peaceful – I can see this hanging in an entry way – so, so pretty, Kathy!!
