Echo Park Little Ladybug Shaker Card for RRR

Echo Park Little Ladybug Shaker Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  Today I have a super sweet Echo Park Little Ladybug Shaker Card to share with you.  It’s all dressed up in beautiful trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The happy vibe and bright colors are like a tonic in the middle of winter, and remind us that spring will be back before we know it!

Remember being a kid and catching ladybugs?  Trap one carefully between your palms and then recite, “Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home,” as those tiny legs tickle your hands.  Open your thumbs just enough to let that little ladybug crawl back out into the sunlight, then watch her fly away home as directed.  Ah, the simple joys of childhood!  I think perhaps that’s why I let this collection fall into my cart.  Well, that and the lovely red, aqua and black color palette!

Dots and Checks

This card is a study in dots and checks, isn’t it?   Black 3/8″ Satin Swiss Dots ribbon forms the borders at the top and bottom of the card while 5/8″ Houndstooth Plaid makes for a perky bow beneath my floral arrangement.  We have aqua checks in the background paper and little floral dots in the accent paper.  I didn’t realize it while I was making the card, but I certainly see it now, and I like what I see!

A Peek Inside

The inside of this cheery card has lots of fun surprises built into the design.  I’ve used a Peppermint Baker’s Twine bow to secure the flap page.  Simply wrap the twine around the panel before you adhere it to the card base.

There’s a cute little pocket/tag combo and a bit of chocolate hiding behind that flap as well as room to write a little note.

And of course, there’s a pocket!  This one is filled with a red and black teabag, honey crystal packet and a little magnet or door knob hanger.  This bright and happy card is sure to brighten up even the coldest, greyest winter day!

You can find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by, friend!

This card is wa-a-ay too cute!! Ladybugs always remind me of little humans that smile and laugh at the mere sight of this charming insect. I added tiny fingernail ladybug charms to my embellishment inventory…going to add them onto warm weather floral cards. Spellbinders offers little ladybug dies on a few floral die sets designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn…a tribute to her daughter. As an adult, I learned that ladybugs are found in quite a few other colors besides red…sure surprised me! And look at that…a color matched tea bag package…attention to detail does make a wonderful difference! Well done!
