Fabulous Fall Stash Buster Mini Album

Fabulous Fall Stash Buster Mini Album for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, and I am so happy that it is finally here!  Today I have a Fabulous Fall Stash Buster Mini Album made with Really Reasonable Ribbon to share with you.  What do I mean by “stash buster?”  Well, if you are anything like me, you have some really wonderful retired fall collections gathering dust in your crafty space.  I decided it was time to put these beautiful collections (and scraps) to good use.  And what better way to use up your stash than in a Fabulous Fall Stash Buster Mini Album?

This album measures 5″ x 7″ with a mixed media chipboard cover.  The simple “O” ring binding is finished off with beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon.

In addition to the fall ribbons from the September Ribbon Club Collection, I used Autumn Diamond Print Grosgrain  and Noble Peacock Seam Binding.   The ribbon is simply tied onto the ring binding using square knots.  Doesn’t it look like fall leaves fluttering to the ground?

I did use some really cute dies to make the acorns, leaves and pumpkins in this mini album.  They are from My Maker’s Movement (formerly Cheery Lynn).

Since I created a video tour of this Fabulous Fall Stash Buster Mini Album, I’ll just share a few still photos with you here.

Kathy, love the use of the rings to create an album that isn’t bound by a set spine width. It’s perfect for using so many crafting products from here and there and everywhere. The variety of ribbon pieces tied to the rings add such a fun element and create a type of spine that keeps the “pages” in place–such a great idea. As always, you have such a gift for creating. tfs

Dear Kathy …luv luv luv this adorable fall mini album! The colors are scrumptious! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year also! Just adore how you used up your fall stash!!! Awesome idea! I am so into these little mini albums, junk journal kind of things, with all kinds of emphera you can fill it with! Yours has my mind reeling with all the fun folios and pockets and pages of colors! Luv the glossy accents too! ??? Do we need to make reinforcements for binder holes or should we use heavier papers for our pages? Or is it even necessary? I’ll be watching this tutorial lots! Hugs, Suzy Q

What a fabulous mini album, Kathy! I never think to combine different company collections but they all go together so well ! Like you, Fall is my favorite time of year. Those colors are so warm and inviting. I absolutely LOVE the acorn die and those cute acorn buttons on the tabs. Every section of this album is filled with such beautiful surprises. I LOVE that little boy and girl on the acorn paper too! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful projects. I’ll be watching this one over and over. Hugs!
