Fluffy Little Birdies

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday: Fluffy Little Birdies Card

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  I’m back this week with a sweet little card made with the new Birds and Blooms Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  This is such a happy collection!  The colors, the fluffy little birdies, the leafy branches and delicate flowers,  the prints in the papers…all filled with the joy and promise of springtime!  I think it’s great that Heartfelt timed this release for the dead of winter, just when we are all longing for a breath of spring.

I am just blown away at the artwork in this collection.  This fluffy birdies card is made with one of the pre-designed card fronts in the paper collection. I simply layered it with some papers and then added my stamped and die cut leaves and flowers.  A few little embellishments, and the card was done.  Even the sentiment was cut from the paper collection!  I added a layered bow made with Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon to finish this design. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

I love the delicate beauty of the flowers!  I did mine in pink, to look like cherry blossoms, but you could completely change the look by using different colored inks.  You’ll find a complete supply list and detailed tutorial for this card below, just in case you want to make your own.  Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations BLOG where you’ll find loads of inspiration and dozens of tutorials from the team.  Or, just go to the Design team tab at the top of this blog post where you’ll find a complete listing of all the team members.  Just click on their names and go pay them a visit.

I’m hypnotized by the summery beauty of this card Kathy! You’re right about the images, down right stunning! Love the many many lovely flowers you layered in your arrangement. The filigree butterfly and corner are such amazing details, they go so well with the soft colours and big loopy bow! hugs 🙂

Ohhh Kathy, so so pretty! I normally buy all the new collections from Heartfelt Creations, but I’ve had to be a good girl and not buy this latest set, for fear of giving my husband a heart attack if I spend any more money. (I had a telling off at Christmas for buying too much. eeek! lol) So … I’m going to live ‘vicariously’ through your blog and delightful little birdies card.

See … I can be good …. sometimes. [wink] (laughing at self here) ~ Cobs. x

This is a mind blower Kathy! I love it all and I noticed all the wonderful stitching. Some day I’ll tell you about my experience trying to stitch on a card. I’ll just say it wasn’t a pretty sight.

This card does make it seems like spring is in the air! Love the cherry blossoms and the way you used the paper collection items to make a card that looks difficult and hard to make, but following your tutorial, sounds relatively easy to make. You’re such a treasure of inspiration! Love this card!

It really is a breath of spring, Kathy! This is so incredibly sweet, I can almost hear the sweet birds singing. You did a great job making the flowers into cherry blossoms. They really do!
