Frightfully Sweet Halloween Card with Graphic 45 Rare Oddities
Hello, Ribbon lovers! Time for another fabby challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The theme this go round is “Things with Wings.” This is always a fun challenge theme, especially when we are drawing close to Halloween. I pulled out my gorgeous September Too Cute to Spook Ribbon Club Assortment and Graphic 45’s Rare Oddities collection to work up this Frightfully Sweet Halloween Card.
Could you find a better ribbon buddy for this paper collection? I think not! Grape Gauze Print Satin Ribbon really is frightfully sweet when combined with Halloween Confetti Dots on Black Grosgrain Ribbon. I just love polka dots!
Moths and butterflies have wings, right? I brushed Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive onto this silver butterfly charm, then dusted it with Shabby Shutters Distress Glitter. It’s frightfully sweet!
The inside of the card has a couple of pockets filled with frightfully sweet tags and treats.
I fussy cut some creepy bottles from the paper collection to dress up this pretty grape patterned paper.
An ephemera card from the collection makes a great bookmark. You can write a personal message on the back. And there’s plenty of room in the pocket for a photo or individually wrapped chocolate.
I had such fun making this Frightfully Sweet Halloween card. I hope you enjoyed it, too!
Be sure to pop over to the RRR Blog where you’ll find all the rules for this challenge. It’s easy to link up your own Things with Wings and ribbon project. It does not have to be Halloween themed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Kathy, you waved your magic wand over these papers, ribbons and embellishments and made the most beautiful Halloween card I’ve ever seen! Love those papers all layered up and finished off with that frightfully sweet and glittery butterfly! Gorgeous purples and sparkle, and of course I adore the purple splatter on there, too! Large, loud applause for a real show stopper! Hugs!
You know it’s hard to make Halloween beautiful, and you’ve done it here! Gorgeous and feminine and fun! The inners and outers are wonderful!
Gorgeous!
Wonderful card design Kathy. Thanks for sharing.
Your card is beautiful. I love the purple and the fab papers that are calling my name. 🙂
