Frogs in Love

Crafty Secrets Frogs in Love Digital Prints

Hello, Friends!  I am so excited to share today’s post with you.  Yesterday I received a new Frogs in Love digital printable from Crafty Secrets and it is so stinkin’ cute that it made my fingers itch!  I had to get busy this morning and made a few cute cards with them.  Check these out!

Kathy by Design/Crafty SecretsSqueee!  I am so totally in love with these wooing frogs, and I think they make a perfect anniversary, engagement or wedding focal.  This printable is so new, Sandy doesn’t even have it loaded into the  store yet, but I couldn’t wait to share them with you, and Sandy said I could go ahead and give you a sneaky peek.

Frog Cards 03The small text in the photo says, “She knew he was her true prince.”  Awwww…I love that!  This is a two-part image, paired with the French Postcard that I’ve resized and layered beneath the focal.  My base is made with pretty papers from the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD and some bits and bobs of ephemera that I had in my scrap drawer.  I used Danish Blue Seam Binding and Pink Wrinkled Ribbon to make a double layer bow that was topped with White Iridescent Metallic String and sweet little silver charm.

Frog Cards 04The inside has a pocket for a gift card, and left hand side of the postcard that comes with the set.

Frog Cards 05Here’s another sweet image that would work well for any romantic occasion.  This time, my papers came from the Creating with Vintage Illustrations CD.  I sized the paper to 4.75″ 6.75″ and then printed it out twice.  I fussy cut the roses from one image and then I used a craft knife to trim around the roses on the card base, then tucked the image behind them to create dimension.

Frog Cards 06I tucked a pretty butterfly tag in the “V” .  It’s also from the Vintage Illustrations CD. The ivory and black papers that I’ve used for layering purposes are from Creating with Vintage Typography. The text on the focal says, “Sometimes, fairy tales really do come true.”

Frog Cards 07The inside is super cute, too, with another tag from this set.

Frog Cards 08Ok, this tag totally makes me giggle!  I love this ballerina frog in her pink tutu and headdress.  Oh my word!  I just layered the tag up with some scraps of paper and ribbons, added a few sequins and bam!  Almost an instant card!

Frog Cards 09What a great image for a thank you card…or if you printed this bigger, you could tie it onto a hostess gift, and that would be “toadally cute!”

Frog Cards 10On the inside, I just lined the card base with kraft paper and added another tag from the Frogs in Love sheet.  I could easily have printed this tag larger, but I wanted it small to tuck inside the card.

So can you see why I couldn’t wait to create with these darling images? I am “Toadally” in love with Frogs in Love!  I hope you had as much fun seeing them as I did making them.  They’ll be added to the store soon, and since they are digital downloads, you won’t even have to wait for them to ship!  How cool is that?

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Toadily love your cards! The first one reminds me of The Wind in the Willows – my dad has love that book since he was a youngster (almost 90 years ago!) Think I might just have to make him a card with these darling frogs! Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face!
