All Geared Up Birthday Card

Flower Gears Birthday 02All Geared Up Birthday Card

Hello, Friends, and welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  I have a fun All Geared Up birthday card to share with you today.

Flower Gears Birthday 01aThis card uses papers, stamps and dies from the fabulous All Geared Up Collection.  One of the things I love about Heartfelt Creations is the many thoughtful bits and pieces they include in their paper collections.  All these tags and tickets are part of the art work on the cut apart pages.  I just cut them out, layered them onto my card and added the whimsical mechanical flowers and this card was pretty much done.  I  simply added a few vintage buttons and a bow tied with Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon!  It doesn’t get much easier than that, does it?

Flower Gears Birthday 02These gear flowers are loads of fun to create.  On this flower, I’ve tucked the “petals” from the white layer between the brown layered flowers to add great lift and dimension.  I also love using the cogs as doilies.  It’s a surprisingly feminine die when you cut it from white or soft pastel papers.

Flower Gears Birthday 03The inside was also a cinch to create.  I just stamped the greeting from Tarnished Gears onto one of the many pre-designed card fronts.  Sometimes, you just don’t have all day to make a card, and it’s lovely to have supplies that allow you to make a great looking card in a short period of time.

That’s it for me today, folks!  You’ll find a complete supply list and tutorial for making this card below.  Be sure to visit the HC BLOG where you’ll find loads of inspiration from the rest of the team.  This collection really unleashed my creativity, and I find myself using the word “FUN” over and over again when I talk about this collection! I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks.  Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy
