Prima Georgia Blues Teacup for Throwback Thursday

Hello, Friends!  Care to join me for a Prima Georgia Blues Teacup on this Throwback Thursday?  Then pull up a chair, grab a cuppa and let’s chat!

This week, I’ve dusted off two of my favorites for Throwback Thursday.  You all know how much I love Prima Georgia Blues as I’ve shared loads of projects made with it. Eileen Hull’s Sizzix Teacup Die is another of my absolute favorites.  So I thought to myself, why not let these two join us for a Throwback Thursday tea party?

Many of you have been very sad that this teacup die is sold out and retired.  But a little birdie whispered in my ear that Eileen will be releasing a brand new teacup die this summer.  So keep an eye out for the big announcement!

As always, die cut the teacup parts from Sizzix white chipboard.  Then die cut your designer paper to cover the panels.  It’s such a quick and easy project to make, but such an elegantl way to present a little gift.

Filled to the Brim with Love

Filling these teacups is so much fun!  I’ve wrapped my treats in Georgia Blues designer papers.  To create this tea party in a cup add Biscoff cookies, a honey stick, a vintage demitasse spoon, chocolate, and a tea bag.  Create a mini note card by folding a 3″ x 4″ journal card in half.

This project is a great way to use up your scraps from a favorite collection.  And then you have a unique and thoughtful gift to present to someone special.  That’s a win/win in my book!

I hope I’ve inspired you to dig into your Closet of Shame and dust off some old favorites.  Make something beautiful today, and the world will seem just a little bit brighter!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

After gathering several different tea theme stamps and dies for a large special order album, I’ve become a tea theme lover for myself…can’t wait to see that new teacup you’ve hinted at. Had to take a look at your other teacup projects…Beautiful! I can’t pick a favorite…this teacup gift container could be decorated for any holiday or occasion. I so enjoyed all the details of your decorated base elements on all 3 teacups!!! Nice idea to wrap all the gift items in pieces of the paper collection…ties everything together so nicely. Really well planned project!

This is delightful, Kathy…I’m loving these “throwbacks” even if the crafting supplies are retired. So glad that little birdie whispered in your ear regarding a future tea cup! I’m dreaming of tea cups on my crafting table this summer 🙂 Your lack of a supply list is just the reminder I needed to draw from my accumulated paper stash today so tfs-Hugs and stay well.

These are gorgeous papers, and I love the teacup filled to the brim with goodies! What a great idea! I could see these as party favors for a tea party. Your details always amaze me, and I love the special spoon, too! A wonderful Throwback Thursday project! I need to start listening closer to the birds; maybe I’ll get some insider information, too! Big hugs to you, Kathy!

Thanks so much for continuing to inspire me with your ideas for using this die. I purchased it a couple of years ago due to one of your earlier posts posts and really enjoy seeing these beautiful creations!

Such a lovely project on a dreary day in the Midwest, Kathy! It’s a reminder spring is here, just under a bit of cover today. Thank you.

OMG Kathy! What a wonderful combination! I do love that teacup and was lucky enough to get one when you made them for Christmas a couple of years ago. It’s such a wonderful way to present all the luscious goodies you add. And that gorgeous paper with those flowers really dress it up to the max! Looking forward to seeing Eileen’s new teacup design. Think I’ll go fix me a cup of English breakfast tea right now. Thank you for sharing this lovely project! Hugs!
