Gorgeously Green Ribbon Club Assortment

I just love the springtime freshness of these fabby ribbons!  This month, the RRR team is being sponsored with digital images from our teamie, Ginny Nemchak.  Ginny owns Polly’s Paper Studio and she generously shared her beautiful artwork with us.  I thought her Large Floral Journal Cards would look smashing with this month’s Ribbon Club Assortment, so  I worked them up into this gloriously green springtime banner.

Spring Green Banner RRR Blog Hop Feb 2016 02The journal cards were stitched onto Ivory burlap and a base of green and ivory stripe French Linen cardstock. The individual pennants were then stitched onto white netting that I topped with shimmery Apple Green Swiss Mini Dot Satin ribbon.  I love the way this emphasized the green tones in Ginny’s digi art.  Here are some close ups of the individual pennants.

Gloriously Green Springtime BannerRRR Blog Hop Feb 2016 03I really wanted to catch the freshness of Spring with this banner.  I love the cloud washed skies and fresh green growing things that mark the season.  To achieve this look,  each pennant is trimmed along the top with Victoria Crochet Lace.  I created a ribbon cluster in the corners by topping a bow tied with 7/8″ white organza with a 3/8″ apple green checkerboard satin bow .  And what is springtime without a few flowers?  These gorgeous apple blossoms, magnolias. chrysanthemums, and sweetheart blossoms bring out the pinks in the paper and make this banner feel as refreshing as a springtime breeze. Next,  I found the little bird image in my stash, and framed him with this painted and glittered chipboard.

This ornate chip frame was painted with Picket Fence Distress Paint and then splattered with Worn Lipstick and Shabby Shutters Distress Paint.  It makes me think of a field full of spring clovers.

The painted and stamped fashionista chipboard was perched on top with foam tabs. Another cluster of gorgeous mulberry flowers and ribbons finishes the right hand side of the banner.

From here, you will hop on over to LESLIE’S luscious BLOG. Glorious!!! Your lovely Banner just epitomizes Spring. It’s 45F, dark gray, raining and gloomy here, but this brightens my outlook like a breezy, beautiful Spring day. Wow, Kathy, WOW!!!
