Golden Wishes Christmas Tea Party in a Box

Golden Christmas Wishes Tea Party in a Box Folio with Graphic 45 Warm Wishes

Graphic 45 Warm Wishes, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design, Ribbon Club, Photo 01

Hello, Friends!  Today I’m sharing this Golden Christmas Wishes Tea Party in a Box card featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon trims.

Golden Wishes Tea Party in a Box Card Folio

The rich metallic shades of the November Ribbon Club Assortment are made to order for G45’s Warm Wishes papers.  I love the way the Old Gold Checkerboard Satin Ribbon brings out the gold hues.  It lends a rich, Old World botanical feel to the card design.

Always remember that layered ribbons make a great border!  Copper and Old Gold Confetti Dots Grosgrain Ribbon makes a holiday splash when layered over the Old Gold Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.  It’s such an easy technique, but it adds a real WOW factor to a project!

Warm Wishes Photo Folio

I love to make card folios during the holiday season.  They only take a little more time to make, and then your card doubles as a gift.  Copper Satin Ribbon with a Gold Metallic Edge makes a gorgeous ribbon closure on this 5 3/4″ pull out folio.

This feature makes the card folio a perfect gift for friends and family that live far away.

Take photos of your family, pets, Christmas tree or decorated home to share with the people you love.

Once you’ve lined the pages of your folio, place Scor-Tape on the back side, adhere the ribbon, wrap it around to the front and tie a bow.  Now you can attach the folio to the top half of  your card.

Tea Party in a Box

Take your card folio to the next level by adding a box pocket to the bottom half. (You can find tutorials on my YouTube channel.)  Then fill the pocket with all the little treats you would want at a tea party for one.

Dress up a Christmas tea bag, chocolate, cookies and honey stick with scraps of paper.  Tuck in a journal card so you can write in your own personal greeting.  Finish everything off with a little vintage demitasse spoon and an old fashioned peppermint stick.  You’ve just created a thoughtful and unique handmade gift that is sure to stand out in the crowd.

Gorgeous ribbon choices Kathy, the rich golden colours and the added texture fits well with your festive scenes. I do love the way you wrap and decorate the tea treats with leftover matching papers, they provide that professional edge to beautiful, handmade arty pieces you achieve so well.

Lovely card today, Kathy! It’s the deeper blue color that is drawing my eyes. Gold ribbon always adds a wonderfully sophisticated style to a project. I’m listening to a radio station playing Christmas music 24 hrs a day until New Year’s…while waiting for AAA to bail me out of a dead battery! Life is exciting! Beautiful card that has brought a smile on Cyber Monday!

What an absolutely stunning folio, Kathy! My goodness, this paper collection is off the charts gorgeous. It has a very vintage, Victorian feel to it. I love how you have blended so many different papers in this creation. The ribbon border is such a beautiful added element that really adds a lovely dimension. As always I love all of the wonderful goodies you add to the box inside! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
