Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian Pop-Up Card: The Best Things in Life Are Sweet!
Hello, G45’ers! Have you ever heard of a pop up restaurant? They are becoming quite a craze. Also known as supper clubs, these eateries operate out of a private home, club vacant factory or some other temporary location. Well, today I have a Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian Pop Up Card to share with you.
Ooh-la-la! Cafe Parisian is one scrumptious paper collection! Having never made a pop up card in my life, this project was quite a challenge for me. But I think I might be hooked on this fun style of card, so you might be seeing more in the future!
This portfolio style card measures about 6.25″ square with a magnetic side flap opening. Working with these papers is a sweet experience! As someone who loves to create desserts, it is right up my alley. It was such fun to add special details to this card, like the bead filled spoon, Staples ornate keys, cup of cappuccino, delicate Petaloo Flowers and wooden Eiffel Tower.
I found one of the original G45 Ornate Door Plates in my stash and painted it white to match the delightfully shabby chic vibe of this gorgeous paper.
Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian Pop Up Card: Come and dine!
Fussy cutters will love working with this collection. Just look at all those tantalizing treats!
May I invite you in for some coffee and a sweet?
Perhaps you’d like to sit beneath this pink striped parasol.
Or do you prefer to dine in the rose garden?
I couldn’t agree more! Especially if you have a little tray of tea cakes at your side!
There was a pretty steep learning curve involved in creating this card. The Brave Boots came out of the Closet of Shame and they did not let me down!
I think I watched at least 100 YouTube how to make a pop up videos! LOL
This whole collection reminds me of a darling French Pastry Shop that Dale and I used to visit when we were newlyweds in St. Augustine, Florida. We were poor as street urchins, but would save our pennies to share a treat every once in a while. Such sweet memories!
Here’s a view from the top…so you can see all the various pop up mechanisms that make the card work.
If you’ve never tried a pop up card, I will not lie to you. It is challenging….but so worth the effort!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go find a cookie.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy

Hi Kathy,
oh my word this card has taken my breath away as is so gorgeous, and superbly created.
My I can’t begin to imagine the work that went into this very stunning abd wonderful design.
Love all the colours and those sweet treats look good enough to eat.
I received my Graphic 45 pads yesterday, and today I made a card for my sisiter in law with Ladies Diary paper pad which I got at the bargain price of just under £11.00.
I also got the Enchanted Forest 6″,pad 8″ pad, 12″ pad for the same amount too.
Then I got the Childrends Hour 8″ pad and the 12″ pad also for the same amount as the first lot as well so I am a very happy bunny at my bargains.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Oh Kathy I adore this!!!. Would love to share a coffee and cake with you especially in the rose garden. Lovely story background too. Lots of love , dedication and pulling out hair moments I think whilst making this card my friend, I’m Sue. It’s nothing short of a masterpiece. Hugs Carolx
Kathy, this card is insane!!! Pop-up non the less!!! You amaze me every day, but this is nuts! Great card. Not sure if I would be able to master this type.
Hugs from Victoria, BC
WOW … this was a true work of heart Kathy!
I love it. I could never make something like this because … well quite frankly I don’t think my one brain cell could cope with it! LOL
Oh … you’d be so proud of me, I’ve finally cracked open all my Graphic 45 collection of all the papers, tags, chipboards etc. Yup … I told myself that I HAD to use it because it was doing no good just sitting there, with me drooling over it every day. So I made a special tag card (I blogged it today) I feel so proud of myself for finally doing it. But … it took me a while to actually decide which collection I’d use first, and what I’d make.
I need a gold star on my chart now. lol
Sending oodles of love to you ~ Cobs. x
