Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop: Graphic 45 Magic of Oz Folio
Hello, Friends! Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2019 Blog Hop! You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog. Today I’m showcasing the Spook-tacular Halloween Ribbons from the September Ribbon Club Assortment. They go frightfully well with this Graphic 45 Magic of Oz Folio.
I kept the cover pretty simple, just adding a fussy cut title, some flowers and a poufy bow tied with the 3/8″ Black Stripe Grosgrain from the Ribbon Club Assortment. Black Satin Swiss Dot Ribbon works great for the closure.
TIP: When tying a thick bow, like the black and white striped grosgrain, wrap wire around the center instead of tying a knot. This gives the center of the ribbon less bulk, and allows you to really fluff out the loops.
Tangerine Satin Ribbon really pops on the spine. Glue chipboard charms to the ribbon ends for extra fun. Silver Metallic String is used to loop another charm and a vintage style clock through the bow at the top.
Graphic 45 Magic of Oz Folio: A Peek Inside
Purple, green, orange and black is the perfect color combination for Halloween. It also happens to work beautifully with The Magic of Oz, which is really handy.
Top a little tag with a combo of Apple Green Delicate Stitched Satin and Grape Diamond Stitched Satin. Then tie off with a short piece of the black and white stripe grosgrain.
Tuck fussy cut ATC cards from the collection behind a belly band to create a fun, interactive element.
The center panel of this tri-fold folio is a waterfall element with a magnetic closure mechanism.
Secure a fold out folio with a Black Satin Swiss Dot belly band. Add a little charm on silver metallic string to add visual interest.
Tuck a hidden page behind the fold out folio for extra fun.
This itty bitty book is secured with a snippet of ribbon , then tucked into a pocket.
Hidden pockets are loads of fun, especially when they are filled with a double pull out page.
Photo mounts and another little accordion folio fit in the spacious pocket.

Beautiful folio project! Love the colors and the awesome embellishments! Love this ribbon assortment!
Love what you did Kathy. I need to get caught up again on your site….time goes so quickly, and I can’t watch them all, as I see you post. I will though! Even recommended your site to someone, and had to explain what folios were to another crafter 🙂
This is my favorite paper collection by Graphic 45, and the RRR assortment goes so well with it. As always love your folio.
I like how you used the ribbons on this folio. My kids and their cousins used to play Wizard of OZ all the time.
Wow! Kathy, you create the most beautiful folios! I believe I’m in the minority, as this isn’t one of my favorite G45 collections, but you have worked your magic and I’m in love with this creation. You are a master! Hugs from KY.
Super nice folding folio!
I am a huge Wizard of Oz fan! Head to my blog and see my take on it…. mine is more cutesy but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this vintage look! So many great papers and ribbons!
You’ve found the perfect papers for this month’s ribbons. Gorgeous project!
Kathy, it always amazes me how many interactive elements you pack into your folios. This one is absolutely FULL of magic! I loved this paper collection although I didn’t buy it because I just wasn’t too sure how often I would use it. I’m rethinking that decision now! Those images are fantastic. The ribbons, charms and flowers you added to the front are beautiful and as always everything inside is over the top creative! Thank you so much for the video tour. I always look forward to those. Hugs!
Thanks for the ribbon tips!! I like the chipboard pieces attached to the orange ribbon on the spine. I can tell that you are loving this paper collection! This ribbon collection is terrific! Love them all!
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your recommendation on Really Reasonable Ribbon in an earlier post. I signed up and also ordered some seam binding ribbons in a 1/2′ that I could not find locally. The ribbons came and are perfect and I’ve already received the Sept set. I love how you have used them too.
Any idea when your kit for the Magic of OZ might be available?

Love your foilo and the gorgeous ribbon! I love all your folios and this one doesn’t disappoint!
Love, Love the Magic of Oz ! I was waiting to see what you would do with this since most of the elements were so large. I LOVE how you designed your folio !!! Love that you used the large prints as pages & didn’t decorate over them. (I agree to pretty to cover up.) Cant wait to play with the papers now. Know that you’re busy but can’t wait to see if you do more with the Magic of Oz.
