Graphic 45 Night Before Christmas Snowman Card with Spellbinders Santa’s Circle Crew
Hello, Friends! It’s Throwback Thursday and I have an adorable Graphic 45 Night Before Christmas Snowman Card Tutorial for you today. It’s made with Spellbinders new Santa’s Circle Crew and Merry & Bright Petite Blooms Dies. Quick and easy to make cards are always good to have on hand during the holiday season.
Use Your Scraps
Know what I like the most about these two die sets? The pieces are small, which means they give you a great way to use up those small scraps of patterned papers. In fact, I did not cut into any new sheets of my designer paper to make this card. With the exception of the card base, every single element is cut from a scrap of Night Before Christmas. It’s always gratifying to whittle away at our scraps!
TIP: Try saving the “negative” image of a die cut to use as a frame in another project. Last year, I cut a card layer with a postage stamp die. (You can see that card tutorial HERE.) I positioned the die on my glitter paper so that I would have enough of an edge all the way around it to make a frame for later use. And this year, it became the frame that my cute snowman sits inside.
TIP: Die cut foliage and flowers to provide an “anchor” for your snowman embellishment. And googly eyes are always a fun addition to a cute card like this one.
A Peek Inside
Dress the inside of your card up with more pretty papers, pockets, tags and goodies.
I’ll show you how to make this cute little gift packet in the video tutorial, too. It’s such a fun way to dress up a tea bag!
Now we’ve created “more than just a card.” We also have a gift, and a cute piece of home decor to brighten up our Christmas kitchen or office.

That’s pretty cute, Kathy. It’s 3:00 a.m. in California, and I just straightened up my craft room. Not sleepy so I’m not fighting it. This year I am zooming right past Thanksgiving cards so I will have enough energy to make and mail more Christmas cards. How’s that for a plan? Hugs to you and Dale.
