Graphic 45 Seasons Autumn Rhapsody Card Folio

Graphic 45 Seasons Autumn Rhapsody Card Folio

Hello Friends!  Fall has finally arrived here in North Carolina, so I thought I would share this lovely Graphic 45 Seasons Autumn Rhapsody Card Folio with you today.  This came in as a special order in my Etsy shop, and I had such fun putting all these lovely fall elements together.

The layers in this card remind me of walking in the woods on a clear blue October day.  Leaves rustle under my feet, cheeky squirrels hop from branch to branch, songbirds and butterflies flit about gathering the last bit of warmth and sunshine before winter arrives.  And all around me the glorious colors of fall fill my heart to bursting.  I sure would love to go for a walk in the woods behind my childhood home in Vermont one more time!  Wonderful memories of times spent traipsing those trails filled my mind as I worked on this card.

TIP: Fussy cut elements from the signature page.  Ink the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.  Then layer the elements in with the patterned paper background to create a scene.  Add dimensionals to the back of fussy cuts to add depth.

TIP: Mix fussy cut flowers with handmade flowers .  These Heartfelt Creations Sunflowers have been inked and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  Fill the centers with glass beads to add a touch of dazzle and shine.

Autumn Rhapsody Card Folio: A Peek Inside

Create a quick and easy pocket by cutting your liner paper 2″ longer than the base of your card.  Add a couple of gussets to the sides, fold and adhere.  Then line the pocket with a border image.

A sweet little tea wallet holds a mini acorn spoon, honey stick and Pumpkin Spice Tea Bag.  You could also tuck a little note inside to add a personal touch.

I hope I shared some tips and ideas you can use in your own crafty adventures.  No supply list on this project, as the papers have been retired.  But you could easily substitute Authentique Gracious or other fall collections.

I love fall most of all!

Cheerio,

kathy

Who would not love this card, Kathy? I can never get enough of Autumn and this beautiful folio reminds me of how many kinds of paper (including the ones you’ve used) I have for this season. As always, your little elements to enclose fascinate me–an acorn spoon! You’ve inspired and motivated me to take time to craft Autumn this weekend. tfs Hugs

Gorgeous . .. as always. Now I know what I’m going to do with my leftovers, of that paper! Christmas has always been my favorite holiday/season, but “in my old age” I believe that is now changing to Fall/Thanksgiving! Perhaps because I love the colors so much! You are SUCH an inspiration, Kathy! I’m taking an online course now, to monetize my blog . . . and YOU get all the credit for inspiring me to do so!! Janice
    P. S. Just got my Christmas kit from Button Club . . . LOVE it!! Can’t wait to dig into it, but have 3 big classes to prep yet for Oct/Nov before I get to “play”!!

So beautiful. I love your description…you should write, you’re good at being descriptive. This folio is sooo autumn. Beautiful coloring and fussy cutting of the sunflowers (LOVE).

Wow, Kathy, this is absolutely stunning! I would never have thought to fussy cut that signature page….. also, mixing the cut flowers with handmade. I had made some sunflowers recently that looked a bit flat, just ran in and sprayed with some glimmer mist – so much better! I will definitely try to recreate this folio – thanks so much for sharing your talent with us 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs!
