Happy Blooming Birthday Succulents Card

Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse Happy Blooming Birthday Succulents Card

Hello, Friends!  Happy Friday!  Today I have a really fun Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse Happy Blooming Birthday Succulents Card to share with you.

As you can see, I’m still having a blast with these Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse papers!    This 5″ x 7″ top fold card makes good use of all the pretty green tones from the Collector’s Essential Kit.

The succulents are from Little Birdie Crafts.  If you’ve been looking for a place to purchase these lovely flowers, you can now find them in your local AC Moore Crafts store.  (Not available online yet.)  A simple white seam binding bow adds freshness and texture to the card composition.

To soften the bold colors of the succulents, I have dry brushed them with a little ivory chalk paint.  This adds lots of depth and dimension, and it also helps all these different colors harmonize a little better.    For extra texture, I added some Coral See Prills to the edges of the wreath.

Lots of room on the inside to write a little birthday greeting.  Everything about this cheery card makes me happy!  If you’d like to see more examples of cards made from this collection, click HERE.

That’s all for me today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

OOOOO, I love this one. Tuesday Morning has the succulents right now, and I’ve overlooked them twice. This is so pretty…….so two questions…. which spring farmhouse paper do you like better, the Prima or Simple Stories, and the prills, is that the color or brand name? This is super pretty!

Kathy, I LOVE this card. Those succulents are just gorgeous. What a great effect to dry brush them. Makes them look dewy. That wreath is such a nice touch and those little prills really add such pretty color to it. As always your sentiments are so perfect. Every card you make with this collection is a treasure. Thank you for sharing! Hugs!

Adorable card! Each new post, I (literally) say, “Oh, Wow!” out loud. Your creations lift my spirits and make me smile. Thank you! I’m looking forward to AC Moore carrying Little Birdie online since I don’t have a store close. Fortunately, I picked up the succulents packs you used for this card at Tuesday Morning. I appreciate the inspiration for how to use them.
