Happy Spring Mason Jar Shaker Card
Hello, Friends! Spring is peeping around the corner here in North Carolina, so I thought I’d share this Happy Spring Mason Jar Shaker Card. The Really Reasonable Ribbon Hot Pink Delicate Stitched Satin Bows make me think of the azaleas that will soon burst into bloom. I’ve paired it up with other ribbons in the March 2021 Ribbon Club Assortment. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Rows of Ribbon
This 5 1/2″ square card gets an extra dose of texture, pattern and color from the ribbon border. Simply layer Lemon Diamond Satin Ribbon with the Butterfly Print Grosgrain Ribbon. Use Scor-Tape to affix the ribbons to the card base, and to one another.
TIP: Cut the ribbon width a little longer than the card panel. This way, you can wrap the loose ends around the back of the panel, leaving a neat and tidy edge. It also prevents ribbon from fraying.
Delightful Details
- Machine stitching adds a finished border to the card base.
- Separate layers with yellow cardstock mats.

A Peek Inside
Dress up the inside of your card with a little pocket. Everyone needs a little treat, right? So tuck in a teabag, chocolate and honey stick. Now the card is a gift that anyone would love to receive.

This is such a sweet card! Of course, I’m struck by your shaker and it’s a Mason Jar! Squeal! I do have a weak spot for these older model jars. I have quite a good sized collection (of course) of them that I put my embellishments in. I loved the other two samples you made with this shaker jar and each of them is so beautiful! Hard to choose a favorite, but I did enjoy seeing those butterflies flitting around in the linked version. You make amazing things!
This little shaker jar is delightful, Kathy. Especially liked the elements you added for the “shaker”. The resulting card can double as a piece of Spring home decor in my book. tfs-stay well. Hugs.
So cute for Spring. I like the shaker elements in the mason jar.
Kathy, what a perfectly adorable Spring/Easter card. The little children and chicks image on the inside is so darling and very nostalgic looking. I love the mason jar with those pretty, sweet shaker elements. What a fantastic die that is! The buttons, ribbon and flowers add the perfect touch! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
This Spring Mason Jar card is just adorable!!! And luv that it’s a shaker too! Your colors just shout Spring! Luv all your cute, beautiful details as always …and the inside is adorable too! Thanks for sharing your creation …hugs, Suzy Q
Wonderful Spring card Kathy – as always, your eye for details is amazing – love the baby chicks in the shaker.
I loved watching you create this adorable shaker card. The die and the papers are so sweet. I noticed that you use a pin through a beautiful flower on top of your glue container, that is brilliant. Thank you for sharing your creations, they are very inspiring.
