Blue Roses for Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop
Hello, Friends!
It’s the last Tuesday in the month, so it’s time for the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop. You should be coming here from Sara Miller’s lovely blog, and if so you are right on track. This is my first time hopping along with my fellow alumni, and I have a beautiful blue roses card made with papers, stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.
This 5″ x 7″ card uses a rich color palette of blue, grey, cream and gold. I embossed the edges of the blue swirls paper in the Countryside Evening Paper Collection (retired) with gold embossing powder. Using Versamark and the Large Elegant Words Background Stamp, I embossed the text in gold. I stamped the Bella Rose leaves directly onto the designer paper and then die cut them with the matching Bella Rose die.
Next, I stamped several Botanical Roses onto designer paper and embossed them in gold. After die cutting with the matching Botanical Wings Die, the layers were shaped with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and glued together. The centers were filled with Czech beads.
I also used Spellbinders Spiral Blossoms and Bitty Blossoms to make some rolled roses. My focal image is a vellum stamp that I found in my stash. Prima lovebirds were the perfect extra “topping.”
Here’s a peeky at the inside of the card!
Now, for the fun part! Visit the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop Designers and leave them some bloggy love for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Heartfelt Creations. One lucky winner will be chosen at random from one of the designer’s blogs and announced here on Saturday, August 29th.

Your card is glorious and the flowers are stunning! I’m so glad you could be part of the hop this month! I’m wondering who the lovely couple is who are on your card front?
That blue and gold color scheme is spectacular and oh so striking! The dimension from the flowers and layering make this a real showpiece. You always go above and beyond Kathy! I also love how you staged this for the photo with those yellow roses picking up the gold touches!
