Candlelit Christmas Folio with Holiday Star and Christmas Poinsettia

Do you have a favorite Heartfelt Creations Christmas collection?  I think that Candlelit Christmas is mine.  All the deep shades of blue mixed with the wintry trees and deer make me shiver with delight.  This month, I used up most of my remaining papers from the collection to make this 6 1/2″ x 8″ flip folio.   It’s always fun to mix old with new, so I added some of the new Holiday Star images and lots of beautiful Christmas poinsettias.  to my project.

Most of  you know that I am a huge fan of ribbon!  So I added a Red Plaid Ribbon closure and bows to my project.  My ribbon comes from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I’ll link to it in the supply list at the bottom of this post.

A Peek Inside

There is so much to see inside this interactive folio.  You’ll find pockets and pull out pages with lots of room for photos and journaling.

TIP: Score 1/2″ flaps on 6×6 images from the paper collection. Then adhere the flaps behind your patterned paper to create pretty tip in pages.

This gives you room for lots of great holiday photos!

A waterfall mechanism is one of the best ways to add lots of photos to a project.  Once again, I’ve used the 6×6 panels from the paper collection for this purpose.  The little pocket filled with tags is a great spot to add memories.  And there is room for photos here, too!

Hidden pockets are so much fun to add to a folio.  This lovely deer image is the front cover of a generously sized folio. The back side of the folio is tucked behind the base page in a hidden pocket.

Add a photo mat, a small pocket and journaling tags to the base page for even more fun.

The front slash pocket is filled with lots of little folios and photo mats.  You can see all the folio features in the video tour below.

I’m loving this one Kathy. Beautiful, as always. Do you have a tutorial on this one? Or another that would be like it. Think I could make one for a lady friend who has become a grandma of twins & this would be wonderful to send to her. Be well, be safe & TYFS
