Hello Spring Flowering Dogwood Card for Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to the Heartfelt Creations February Alumni Hop!  You should have arrived here from Vicki’s lovely blog. I think we are all dreaming about spring right now, and this Hello Spring Flowering Dogwood Card is filled with delicate blossoms, cheeky little birdies and soft, springtime colors.

Hello Spring Flowering Dogwood Card by Kathy Clement for Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop February 2017 Photo 1Dogwoods are my favorite spring flowers.  Here in the south, you can still find old neighborhoods where both sides of the street are lined with dogwood trees.  When they burst into bloom in the spring the beauty takes your breath away.  So when the Flowering Dogwood collection was released earlier this month, I ordered the stamps, matching dies and paper collection the very first day!  I’m so glad I did!

First, I stamped them onto white cardstock using Archival Willow ink.  Next, I die cut them with the matching die. Then,  I sponged the center and petal edges with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  The centers are filled with Minnie Pearls and Tutu Pink Prills.  The pretty Eyelet Oval Die provides a delicate layered background.

Such a beautiful card! I may need to take a trip south to see the streets lined with flowering dogwood if the flowers are as beautiful as the flowers on your card! Thanks for sharing!

Kathy, This is beautiful. But everything you do is. Love the colors. Sure wish you were still with Heartfelt Companion. But looks like you had to get the dogwood. I’m trying to learn it, but mine just don’t do’t look right. Still practicing.Someday mine will look as good as yours!!

Oh, this beautiful card just makes my heart sing!! I’ve loved dogwoods ever since going to a dogwood festival in TN when I was young. Looks like you gathered the real flowers for your gorgeous card!

Just when I think your cards can’t possibly get any cuter, you blow me away with this gorgeous specimen of creative genius! It is quite frankly, in every sense of the word, BEAUTIFUL! Thank you also for the link to the prills. I’ve been looking for a source for some time now. As always, you inspire me to try new products and broaden my skills.

Absolutely STUNNING!! I am in love with the dogwoods you created! I miss the beautiful trees as I came from GA to OH a few years back. You have represented them so wonderfully they could have come right from the trees! I love that you did the inside too! Hugs, Robin
