Here Come the Easter Gnomes!
Hello, Friends! I hope you are ready for a fun post with some adorable Easter Gnomes, vibrant flowers and the March Ribbon Club from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Dress up the corners of your folio in its Easter best by adding twin bows tied from Pastel Vertical Stripe Ribbon. Then top with some metallic string and spring flowers.
Green ribbon can be tricky to work with. There are so many different shades. But this Apple Taffeta is a perfect match for the springy greens in this paper collection.
Z-Folds, Flip Pages and Pockets
Just for fun, I created a Z-fold front for this 5 1/2″ square folio. Score the card base the same as you would for an easel card. But fold the right hand side of the front cover back toward the fold to make a Z-Fold. Now you have a sneaky little spot behind the front cover to add in a pocket and flap page. How fun is that?
You can see the inside of the Z-Fold in this photo. I like the way the Z-Fold design allows the bow from the flap page to be seen on the cover. Can you spot the Gnome Easter Bunny? Too funny!
Here’s the little folio fully opened. I think it would be fun to write a message inside the calendar blocks…or even a secret code to be solved!
The center pocket provides a space for photos, tags, journal cards…even small treats! Opening this fun folio is a little bit like going on your own personal Easter Egg hunt, isn’t it?
Have you started making your Easter cards and projects yet? Easter comes late this year, so you still have plenty of time to dig into your paper stash and pair up with the pretty ribbons from this month’s club assortment. But you’d better get hopping!
Now go make something beautiful!
Cheerio,
kathy

I’ve just placed an order for Easter papers…odds and ends, single sheets from various collections. I seem to be enchanted by bunnies and carrot images! A couple of sweet bunny charms arrived this week…instant smiles! I think my creative motivation is making a comeback…it’s about time!! My daffodils are in full bloom, grape hyacinth is starting to bloom. Mountains continue to get snow, but I doubt we’ll get any in my area of SW Washington. Love that bright green ribbon on your project!! So glad we change our clocks this weekend…a sure clue that Spring is very close. Can you tell that your folio is making me happy?
Oh Kathy, the gnomes are just so dang cute! I love the one with the bunny ears! These colors and images bring a smile to my face and also memories of dying Easter eggs with my Dad when I was a child. Your bows and flowers are just gorgeous and really dress up this fantastic folio! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
