Stamperia Hidden Grove Interactive Card Folio Tutorial for Wind Back Wonderful Wednesday
Hello, Friends! It’s Wind Back Wednesday, and I have an adorable Stamperia Hidden Grove Interactive Card Folio Tutorial to share with you. Remember the Ciao Bella Timeless Moments card folio we made last month? We’re gonna wind back that design using the same hidden pocket, pull out mechanism and basic recipe. It’s just made with different paper!
I think you’re really going to have fun creating this folio no matter what paper collection you use! It makes a wonderful little gift, too.
Mixed Media Tips and Tricks
Since the tutorial focuses mainly on the construction of the card base and interior, I thought I’d share a few tips for the 5 1/4″ x 7 1/4″ card folio cover.
- First, cut a 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ panel of the strawberry paper from the 12×12 paper pad and machine stitch it to a 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ panel of burlap paper.
- Next, add a pop to the design with strawberry and clover ephemera.
- Then, create a bunch of die cut foliage using the Spellbinders Mushroom Mansion dies.
- Now, paint the edges of chipboard and wood embellishments with chalk paint.
- Spatter everything with a bit of chalk paint.
- Mat a small tag from Tags & Cards on burlap and tie on a cute mushroom charm.
- Finally, mat the whole assembly on a 5″ x 7″ panel of white cardstock to make it pop off the page.
A Peek Inside
You’ll find lots of secret nooks and crannies tucked inside this woodland treat. Open the magnetic flap to reveal kinetic waterfalls, pop up features, flip-flap pages and a side pocket. You’ll get to see all of these in the video below.
There’s a hidden pocket behind the pull out mechanism. Tuck in a Graphic 45 Ivory Square Tag and Journal card behind it. And of course, Mrs. Badger lives in a strawberry mushroom house!
Add a little notecard and bookmark to the pocket on the bottom half of the card. See why I said this would make a great gift?

What a delightful folio with pages boxing the compass and interest from front to back. Wonderful use of paper bits and pieces to set the scene too Kathy and the burlap adds that earthy natural touch to the woodland scene. Thanks for sharing, indeed!
