Home Baker Tag Album Tutorial

Prima The Home Baker Tag Album Tutorial

Happy New Year, Friends!  Our first Tag of the Month is this Prima The Home Baker Tag Album Tutorial.  It’s the perfect way to kick off our Cozy Kitchen theme for January 2025!  If adorable little mice bakers don’t warm your heart, then I don’t know what will!  I fell hard for this collection (see the full preview HERE) the minute I saw it.  It’s been sitting quietly in the Closet of Inspiration and Delight waiting for the holidays to pass.  So I was more excited than usual to cut into this one!

A Little Bit of a Look Book/A Little Bit of a Lap Book

Once again, I used my Button Farm Club Scalloped Shaker Tag Die (linked below) to create the base for  this sweet little book.  It’s tiny, but mighty with chipboard pages and room for recipes, too.

Oh, and there just might be a pop up page (or two) tucked inside.  Seriously, though, how much do we love this delightful little French baker in his well-appointed kitchen?  Can you spot his petite sous-chef on the right?  This collection is sooo adorable that I found myself chuckling the whole time I was putting the album together.  Ooh-la-la!

But this little book is more than just a pretty face; it also holds 10 recipe cards.  So it’s the perfect spot to tuck away your top 10 favorite recipes for display in the kitchen.

Two pop ups?  Yes…I couldn’t resist!  I was having so much fun!

Would you like to see the rest of the surprises built into this sweet little book?  Or perhaps you’d like to learn how to create the tag book base and the various interactive elements I tucked inside.  Please grab a cuppa and a snack and join me for this project tour an tutorial on my YouTube channel.  Bon appetit!

2025 Schedule

I also wanted to fill you in on the schedule for 2025.  I am still caring for grandchildren 3 days a week, so I will only be able to produce one video tutorial each week.  But things are changing up a bit, as I heard feedback from you.  So here is the new weekly lineup for 2025:

  • First Wednesday: Tag of the Month
  • Second Wednesday: Banner of the Month
  • Third Wednesday: Card of the Month with Graphic 45 Season to Celebrate)
  • Fourth Wednesday: Throwback Wednesday.  I’ll follow the theme for each month, but will use an older or retired paper collection to make whatever catches my imagination.  This will encourage us all to break out our neglected supplies and put them to work.
  • Fifth Wednesday: a home decor project

I’m very excited about this line-up and I hope you are, too!

You can find a linked supply list below t his post.

Wishing  you all a very healthy, happy and blessed year in 2025!

Cheerio,

kathy

Oh my, who wouldn’t want to sit down in this kitchen with a cuppa and a chelsea bun! You have well and truly set the scene for your first project this year Kathy. Love those altered pop ups, brilliant idea indeed. Happy New Year.

Kathy, have a wonderful year of taking care of the grandkids and creating, too! I am so glad I have a folder entitled “Kathy by Design” because I can always look back on past creations of yours for ideas. Thank you!

Love your little albums, Kathy….you did justice to these sweet papers! I immediately looked for the recipe cards and purchased possibly the last two sets on the planet (?)! Thought of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Mason Jar Special Kit (see youtube) that I purchased a while back and these papers would be perfect to use with that set! You certainly have a busy year ahead of you…busy is good! Happy New Year!

Kathy, I am having trouble seeing your videos the last month or so. When I click on the video, it says I need to sign in. Sign in to what and where do I do that? When I click on “learn more”, it goes blank. I go to You tube and I am signed in, but it doesn’t make any difference when I go back to your blog. I still can’t see the video. Any solutions? I love your posts and have made many of your cards and folios, watching your videos.

Kathy! What a beautiful album you’ve created to kick off the new year! Is it available for adoption?! Also, how would I go about requesting your banner of the month? The mice and mason jars are making me smile and Eric loves to bake! Please let me know. Wishing you and all of your followers and patrons a Healthy and Happy 2025!

Kathy, this little album is out of this world darling! Of course anything to do with baking and kitchen themes, I just love. The little mice are as cute as they can be.
