January 2024 Flower of the Month Tutorial with Stamperia Roseland

Hello, Friends!   I’m a little late, but I’m here today with our January 2024 Flower of the Month Tutorial.  It feels good to be back in the studio after having spent a week sick in bed!  The flower of the month is Heartfelt Creations Sweet Peony.  I’ve paired it up with Stamperia Roseland papers and some paper pretties from Reneabouquets.

When I think peonies, I think PINK!  So Stamperia’s new Roseland paper  was invited to the party. I’ll share a walk through of this collection in the video tutorial so you can see how truly lovely it is.  And since pink is the featured color, I pulled out some Reneabouquets Pink Aurora Butterfly Kisses and the adorable Snow Baby Blossom printed beautiful board chip.

Shake it Up!

I wasn’t planning on making a shaker element for this 6×6 card folio.  But while I was sifting through the adhesive ephemera pieces, my eye fell on a really pretty round frame.  It turned out to be not a frame, but a wagon wheel with a floral cluster on one side.  What did I do?  Take scissors in hand and cut the spokes out of the center.  That’s what I did, and it made a very nice shaker frame!

A Peek Inside

Of course, you knew there would be a pocket inside this card.  But did you know it would  have lace trim?  And, I found a new way to add my tea bag and chocolate treats.  These small white bags have been in my stash for ages.  Why did I  never think to use them like this before?  They are so cute!

Hide a second pocket behind a pretty little flip page.  This provides a sweet spot to add a note.

Here’s a closer look at the super cute little treat bags and the bookmark.  Now my card is a gift.  That always makes me happy!

    So sorry you were sick!
Yes, the Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies being no longer available is the rub.
Another beautiful project from you. You are incredibly talented!

Did you have glitter on your face after this session hahaa! I could see it shimmering on your hands, and yes it does add that extra touch on anything, particularly the blooms, they look lovely. The papers are beautiful and your project highlights them so well. I do like the wee envelopes with the string you tucked into the pocket, they balance the bookmark.
The latest distress is on its way, I just had to complete the set!
