June 2023 Banner of the Month Tutorial

June 2023 Banner Tutorial with Reneabouquets & Elizabeth Craft Designs Everythings Blooming

Hello, Friends!  Believe it or not, it’s time to share our June 2023 Banner Tutorial!  Once again we’re using the June papers from Graphic 45’s Time to Flourish 12×12 and 8×8 paper pads. We’ll dress it up with some lovely Reneabouquets printed beautiful board. And, I’m changing things up a bit this month with the addition of Annette Green’s Elizabeth Craft Designs Everything’s Blooming collection.  Sound like fun?  Well, grab a cuppa and a snack and let’s get this Throwback Thursday post rolling.

If you are new to the blog, you might like to know that we are sharing a Banner of the Month tutorial each month during 2023.  You can find the previous banner tutorials HERE.

Birdies and Butterflies

Graphic 45 Time to Flourish June Banner Tutorial-Reneabouquets-ECD Everythings Blooming, Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design-Photo 01

The month of June is all about birdies and butterflies, and you will find them on this banner everywhere you look !  From the itty bitty Reneabouquets Mason Jar butterfly, to the glitter glass butterflies they flit around amongst the flowers.  Then, there are Annette’s Everything’s Blooming birdies.  Cut from designer paper and used as a silhouette form, they are extra sweet.

The birds are happily perched on a flowering branch resting above Reneabouquets April in Paris doilies.

The Shaker Element

Reneabouquets Shaker Frame

I’ve used one of my favorite Reneabouquets Frames on the center pennant.  By cutting an acetate circle to fit the back of the frame, I was able to turn it into a shaker element.

When you watch the tutorial, you’ll see how I repeated the themes to create a sort of story line for the banner.  This might be my favorite banner so far this year, but then you know how much I love birds and butterflies!

Love this so sweet banner and all the details. I enjoy watching you build the each layer on every pennant. Each one has so many layers that you just want to look at them, and take in the details like little lap books that you just want to take time and look at closely. Beautifully done!

Kathy, you have done it again! Each banner piece tells a story and your embellishments are delightful, especially those Renea butterflies, they are the perfect match. I love the way you tie in the lace, ribbon and thread with the theme, even when you don’t always have enough of one particular design, you always manage to tuck in an alternative that works. Your banner looks beautiful and professional to boot! Thanks again for sharing, the videos are a joy.
