Lambs, Butterflies and Bunnies for the Really Reasonable Ribbon April 2022 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  How about some lambs, butterflies and bunnies for the Really Reasonable Ribbon April 2022 Blog Hop.  Welcome!  You should be coming  here from Gloria’s beautiful blog. This month’s Ribbon Club assortment is all sunshine and blue skies!  Take a peek!

I selected the soft and luxurious Soft Floral Print on White Satin Ribbon for my project.  Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Lambs, Butterflies and Bunnies!

There’s something about the bow cluster on this card that takes me right back to the Easter Sunday dresses of my childhood.  Big poufy skirts, white gloves, white patent leather shoes, lacy socks and a flower adorned hat were the order of the day.

If our sweet little Shepherdess is all dressed up for Easter, then our bow cluster should be, too! The double-looped bow is topped with pale blue Magnolias from the Pastel Assortment.  I created a tiny bouquet with Sweetheart Blossoms to dress up the frame.  The sparkly glitter glass butterfly is a perfect color match for the flowers and ribbon.

Add a little pop up sentiment, chocolate pocket and blank note card to the interior for a perfect finish.

On With the Hop

Now hop on over and see what paper pretties Cheryl has prepared for you. Be sure to finish up the hop over on the RRR Blog where you can answer Bonnie’s question of the month.  If you do, you’ll be entered into the drawing for a FREE April Ribbon Club!

If you’re not a member of the RRR Ribbon Club, now is a great time to join.  You can find out how by clicking HERE.

Enjoy the hop!

Cheerio,

kathy

This is such a delightful card, Kathy. The RRR assortment inspires such possibilities and your card is a wonderful example. Start with the shades of blue throughout–what’s not to like about blue–and add the vintage elements. The result is, as you say, a reminder of Easters past. tfs-stay well. Hugs.

Beautiful card created just in time for Easter. Love that cheerful bow and flower cluster…perfect ribbon choice for this card. Oh, my…I remember the same things about dressing up for Easter Sunday. Those white gloves seemed to turn me into a little lady. I had a wicker basket purse to carry. Do you remember ruffled ankle socks? Hoppy Easter wishes to all!

I love the ribbon rosette you made! I’ve never done one of those on a card before, but I love the effect. I’ll have to give it a try!
