Let’s Make a Bee Themed Gift Box and a Giveaway!

Let’s Make a Bee Themed Gift Box and a Giveaway!

Hello, Friends! It’s Wild Card Wonderful Wednesday, so let’s make a bee themed gift box!  And it’s not just any Wild Card Wednesday…it’s also my birthday, so I think a giveaway is in order.  I’ll have more info about that at the bottom of this post.

Decorative boxes are a great way to present a gift or brighten up a corner of your home.  This particular box is an old Graphic 45 Deep Matchbook Box. I did a little clean our and fount it languishing in the dark corners of the Closet of Inspiration and Delight.  Time to give it a makeover for Wild Card Wednesday!

A Sweet Makeover

The kraft base was perfect for the honey hues in Paper Rose Bees and Butterflies collection.  Burlap trim, some metal embellishments and bee goodies from Reneabouquets really gave this box a new life.

TIP:  You will need to add a false bottom to your box if you wish to add these metal feet.  But don’t worry; I’ll show you how to do that in the video tutorial.  You’ll also learn my tricks for adding the shaker window to the box design.

What’s Inside?

There are so many goodies inside this box!  You’ll want to see them all in the video tutorial below.

You are kind and generous Kathy. I hope whomever wins ( a local) has a wonderful time creating with the stash! I totally agree with you regarding keeping the adhesive bottle topped up. Your box of everything is a delight, the shaker on the top is that extra piece of sensory experience as in touchability, sound, oh and the aroma of fresh honey……. and once the goodies have gone it is a beautiful piece of storage. Well done I say in spades!

Just watched the YouTube video. So precious. Love the Bee theme so much. I love that you also filled the drawer with treasures, had wondered if a honey stick would fit but the miniature honey jar is even better.

Happy Birthday Kathy! We share birthdays in July only mine has come and gone on the 8th. I hope you are having a very blessed day. I celebrated 3/4 of a century on mine but that hardly seems possible. In spite of my recent health issues, I don’t feel like I’m this age. I’m trying to get my mobility back and I’m making some progress so that’s the very best birthday gift ever! A month ago I thought I would never walk again. I adore this sweet bee box and the bright sunshiny colors. I also love that you adapted the box and made it work for what you needed. It turned out amazing!
