Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries Slimline Card: A Tea Party in a Box Card

Hello, Friends!  Polka dots, buttons and tea….that’s the theme of this Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries Slimline Card.   I’m thinking we could all use a little happy right about now.  And these cheery teacups and teapots make my heart smile.  I hope they make your heart smile, too!

This 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ slimline card is just so full of happy!  I’ve paired up LemonCraft “Delicious” papers with black micro gingham ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Cheery red flowers and cherry red buttons tie it all together beautifully.

Sometimes, you just  need to throw yourself a tea party, right?  So this cute card has a tea party for one tucked inside the interior pocket.

It’s hard not to smile when you pull all these goodies out to enjoy!  What a perfect way to say Happy Valentine’s Day, or Happy Birthday, or Get Well, or Thanks!  If you’d like to learn how to create this box style card base, you can check out THIS TUTORIAL.

I hope you’re having a good week!  It’s busy here, and I’ve got to get back to it, but I just had to pop in and share this happy little card with you.  (It’s available in my ETSY shop.)

Ooo-oo-oo! Another card using that cute LemonCraft collection…so sweet. I decided to pull all my tea themed stamps and dies into one convenient place…no shortage of images to pull upon for future cards and folios!! I’m in line with Gena…polka dot tea pots remind me of Mary Engelbreit designs, too!! She likes pairing her primary colored images with black…always looks nice. LOVE the cherry buttons!! Well done!

I am so loving these slim cards! It lends itself to being the base for so many collections, and left over papers. This paper collection just warms my heart.! Instantly brings back to mind my grandmothers, who influenced my life in so many positive ways! And treasured quiet moments….Thanks again Kathy!

Love the card Kathy. I haven’t tried a slimline card yet. I’ll need to give one a try. No doubt that I can make the card, just not enough in my stash for the embellishing part. You always seem to have so many different teas. You get them on Amazon? I haven’t checked yet, but just may. Course if cards are going to different people it wouldn’t make any difference. But I love how many you have. Be safe & TYFS

Kathy, what a perfectly delightful card! Who doesn’t love cherries and strawberries? This card made me think of my Mary Engelbreit teapot with the cherries on it. These colors and motifs in this collection are so bright and cheerful. I love how the slimline design let’s you show off all the different images and your ribbons and flowers are just perfect! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
