Little Birdie Boho Dreams Secret Summer Garden Card
Hello, Friends! Will you join me for a stroll through my Little Birdie Boho Dreams Summer Garden? This double gatefold style card is bursting with the saturated colors of summertime! The chipboard gate on this 6″ x 6″ double gatefold card looks like the entry to a secret garden filled with vibrant blooms, sweet berries and flirty butterflies.
Rub the primed chipboard gate with Little Birdie’s Silver Glitz Metallic Wax to give it an aged appearance. Then fussy cut elements from the Boho Dreams 12×12 and 6×6 paper packs to create a dimensional floral wreath in the center of the gate. A cool breeze carries the scent of the fragrant blooms and refreshes the spirit. I would love to sit in this glorious garden forever!
A Peek Inside
So many beautiful colors and patterns wait for you inside this secret garden!
There’s even a secret pocket hidden inside the fold on the right hand side of the card.
This is a great place to tuck in a little bookmark or tag.
When the card is fully opened, you discover a sweet gift pocket.
Mat a 3″ x 4″ journal card on a 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ panel of the distressed orange dot pattern. Score in half to form a little top fold tea wallet. Cut a border strip, wrap it around the wallet and trim away the excess to form a belly band. Now the card is also a gift.
I hope you enjoyed this stroll through my secret garden. If so, I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below. You’ll also find a linked supply list at the bottom of this post.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy

The colors of this card definitely speak to summer. In my area of the Pacific NW, our “summer,” demonstrated by warmer temperatures, doesn’t really begin until after July 4th! It’s not a gradual warming, but more as if a switch was flipped and we jump into the 90s! That’s when these colors will be appropriate up here! I like the lace pattern on that center designer paper…very feminine. Nice work!
Pretty secret summer garden!
This card is so bright and cheery …I just don’t know how I missed it! Whoever receives this beauty is gonna smile everytime they look at it! These colors are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I didn’t forget you ….just been slammed with things to do! Be safe! Hugs, Suzy Q
Wow, this is so beautiful Kathy! I’m used to seeing a darker palette from you so this just jumped off my computer screen. The florals and vibrant pink and orange are such a treat. Your projects are always exquisite and wonderfully made. Love the twine and little bit of curly wire.
This card is sunshine! It makes me smile and fills my heart with happiness. Love every single thing about it. I was hoping for a video tutorial but understand you can’t do them for every card. I can only wish. Thank you for such a beautiful card.

Oh my!!! What a delightful and happy card!!! It’s like a breath of fresh air. You are just having way too much fun (without me) lol! I’m going to have to move close to you. We would probably never do anything but craft, so no cooking, no laundry, etc. You are just amazing my dear friend!!!
The colors in this card are so eye-catching – love the folio-style card – beautiful work, Kathy!!
Kathy, this is such a breathtaking card. I love that gorgeous gate on the front surrounded by those lovely flowers. Oh yes, I can just imagine breathing in the wonderful scent! I really like the way the card opens up to reveal the little pocket and the rest of the hidden garden. And oh my, what brilliant colors! Thank you for sharing this beauty! Hugs!
Gorgeous! Such bright, vivid colors!
Wow, all that colour!!! Lots of places to hide things really. Love it Kathy. Nice to wake up to pretty pink flowers. 🙂 We have a bit of rain today. It’s nice tho’, smells so fresh outside and the gardens needed it.
This surely is a summertime card…so delightfully cheery and bright. Like the design of a double fold on the right gatefold to hold additional elements like the lovely bookmark. Your bookmark has given me the idea of creating lots of them from my paper scraps to donate to our local library once it reopens. Then there are bookmark “ornaments” to enclose in Christmas cards…See how my creative juices flow when I see your designs (lol). As always, tfs-Hugs. Stay well.
Oh gosh Kathy, this card is just super stunning. I love it. The color pink is beautiful. You are truely creative.
