Little Birdie Crafts Succulent Garden Shadow Box Tutorial

Hello Friends!  It seems as though I’m seeing succulent gardens everywhere I go.  They are all the rage right now, and luckily for us, Little Birdie Crafts has added some gorgeous succulent papers and flowers to their shop.  Today’s Succulent Garden Shadow Box Tutorial will show you how to create a lovely piece of home decor that celebrates the beauty of succulents.

I wanted to create a shadowbox that had the look of a chippy old garden shed.  Paints, texture paste, patterned papers, sisal fibre, Spanish Moss and of course, lovely flowers helped me to achieve the effect in this 6″ x 6″ shadow box.

Just look at these darling potted succulents!  I’ve clustered them up with Bernice Purple Flowers, Fiona Mulberry Flowers, fussy cut images and lovely chipboard.

Kathy, the video showing how you crafted this window box is fascinating to watch–so many little touches, layers, types of media! The result is so lovely. I don’t usually make anything like this but I’m tempted to try after watching you. tfs

This is so cute! And I’m not even into succulent gardens or shadow boxes …but I want to give it a try after I’ve seen this! Luv all your tips and tricks to make it look like it’s been around forever! You’ve inspired me. Now I’ve got to go find me a shadow box! Hugs to you

Stunning. I adore the ageing from the sanding process and those succulents are perfect. Adore your dimension and layering. You would never believe your potting shed has lots of paper incorporated. Fantastic . Tracy ❤️❤️

Delightful little piece! It would be terrific as the cover on a garden-themed not-so-mini-MiniAlbum! I love the way you’ve combined the succulent images with the Little Birdie faux flowers…they blend very nicely together. Also, the violet-washed frame and chipboard scroll element is perfect – your eye for the right detail in the right spot never fails you!
Thanks for sharing yet another of your inspiring projects!
