Loving Cup Valentine Easel Card with Photoplay Love Story and Amazing Paper Grace DOM
Hello, Friends! Is there anything cuter than a Loving Cup Valentine made from Photoplay Paper’s Tulia & Norbert Love Story collection? Well, maybe, if the loving cup is made with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace January 2022 Die of the Month. I’ve never really thought of myself as much of a gnome person, but these little critters are so stinkin’ adorable. And I love their hats, of all things! Crafting with them makes me smile!
- First, make a 6×6 easel card base. Line the inside and make a pocket to act as the stopper.
- Next, fussy cut the gnomes from a 6″ x 4″ journal card and use them to line the pocket. See what I mean about the hats?
Although the APG die is a pop up vignette, I opted to just use it as the focal image on my card. One of the dies in the kit is a little note card designed to fit inside the cup. However, I turned it into a vellum “tea bag” then tied it to the cup handle. Cute, right?
A Peek Inside
The patterns in the Love Story collection are so bright and happy! I love these candy hearts.
I created a little folio to hold a chocolate treat, then tucked in a color matched tea bag and honey stick to complete the card.

Too cute!!! Big hugs Kathy! Suzy Q
I took a closer look at this teacup die set…glad there was a video to show how the die set works. As much as I like the pop-up cup, I think I like your use better…a solid teacup (no use of the lacey detail die) on the front of a card appeals more to my creative brain. I like the more simple gnome designs…perfect for paper piecing. That polka dot ribbon is perfect on this card…floral clusters are so eye catching! Lovely and fun start to this new year of creating! Thanks, Kathy!!
That Spellbinders Cup die is so cute, and the Gnomes are great with the cup – I LOVE Gnomes!!! What a wonderful way to start 2022!!!
Ok now you are doing gnomes?! I live gnomes. Another beauty Kathy.
What a darling card, Kathy! The little gnomes are so cute. Love the way you made the little tea bag tied to the cup. And oh my, what gorgeous ribbon and roses. The little hearts with the sayings on them really take me back. I loved them as a child. Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
